Netcong school crossing guard accused of...

A former Netcong school crossing guard, who is accused of sexually assaulting a girl more than a decade ago and exposing himself to four other children, was offered a plea deal today that would send him to prison for more than 18 years, authorities said in court.

why should he get a plea deal? he doesnt deserve one...he confessed! why do they need to 'review' that? justice system my @$$. no wonder why this type of crime is way underreported!!!

It is astonishing to hear this man, an admitted child molester, was arrested almost 13 month ago after confessing to the crime and he STILL remains free to roam our town! It is sickening and a true failure of the justice system to be offering him ANY "deal" for his crime. He should never have been offered bail since he could easily go after another child! So, as we all watch this monster enjoy a full year of freedom we have to live in fear that he may grab one of our children off the sidewalk! He has nothing to loose, is having a wonderful FREE year at his victims expense! Maybe, just maybe, if he doesn't die first he will serve a few years time in jail. Even if it is his last time alive he should be in jail, TODAY, LAST YEAR, not whenever the law catches up to him. His family is sinful to bail this disgraceful monster out! How can they sleep at night, attend church or face the community knowing they are helping a self proclaimed pedophile be free???? This is a sad reality and sets a bad example to everyone, harm and molest but go free for a while!! SICKENING!

i agree with some people that he is dangerous and shouldn't be free, but it isnt fair for OMG to talk about his family in that way. you don't know what their going through.

OMG, have you ever thought about the children and grandchildren of this man? Who must have some emotional connection? Think about it. They must be ripped in two! It is like there is a different man behind this crossing guard. Maybe they feel some family loyalty. Maybe they are suffering and don't know where to turn. Think about all the denial and pain! people think about his family and feel sad but on the other hand seeing him around town and hearing he is gambling in atlantic city and the poconos makes people's blood boil.

Absolutely!!!! HE IS THE ONE WHO NEEDS TO WORRY ABOUT THE MENTAL HEALTH OF HIS FAMILY!!! i am pretty new in town so i do not know this man john. you say that he rides around. is he the man with gray hair in the silver car with the hanicap sign on his mirror? he rides around the school during the morning and afternoon drop time? i also see him at derenzo park to. if it is him i see you point because he is all over the place and that is scary. anyways you should not wish anyone dead.

johns car is or was light green and he has dark hair and a mustach. the guy you are seeing all over town in a hanicap silver auto is pete. he is a local yocal. he always drives all over the place in circles day in and day out 7 days a week. just to set the record strait but go figure.
