Regardless of Republican or Democrat. They are a good thing. Letting in uneducated poor people who have zero accountability and responsibility will only lead to more inefficient social systems.
Look at the result of education, public schools and college standards are all watered down to accommodate people who are not meant for academics.
Bush did nothing to regulate for profit colleges with no accountability. And Obama keeps illegals in the country. They're both spawns of Satan.
The only reason why socialism works in Germany and Japan is that their people are responsible and hardworking.

Voter ID laws have nothing to do with education or social systems. They have to do with disenfranschisement. I assume we can mark you down as an elitist who favors a one-party GOP government, then?

I favor meritocracy based on responsibility and ability. Not elitism preserved by inherited wealth, race, corrupt government policies, etc.
And I do believe voter ID laws affect education indirectly. Some politicians will be more willing to support the education of illegals if they received their vote.
And I don't favor the GOP. I liked Ron Paul except for his idea of Austrian Economics. And I liked Obama's policy toward renewable energy and not his leniency toward Wall Street.
However, I do believe voter ID laws are necessary, in line with the argument that you need an ID for the bank, etc. and voting should be no different.
