So when is this so called Family Court Judge going to be held accountable for his actions? Why has the WV Supreme court not done something about him - who up there is protecting him? Steve canterbury? He will always take care of the good ole boys, but the hell with the women. Yep, when he can get his daddy out of trouble in Fayette Co., for buying and selling stolen property, then just maybe, he will have time to take care of this so called judge Wartkins in Putnam Co., What a joke.

How this guy still has a job is beyond me. He has absolutely no ability to be impartial.

I agree Kevin. He does what he wants and not whats in the best interest of children either. I hope he can't sleep at night with some of the decisions he makes. This is family court and instead of being fair and helping families he makes it so much worse. Well unless you're a friend of his or work for the county. I hope this humbles him and he start to make fair decisions. People say he won't change but I believe this has to be embarrassing for him and he will have a change of heart. Maybe it's wishful thinking but I believe people can change. Sometimes it takes things like this to change us.

That is a hopeful attitude to take and I can only pray that he will have a change of heart, but his attitude displayed during the hearing does not inspire such hope.

All we have is hope and faith in god because the system has been a let down time and time again with this man. Maybe it has humbled him but I guess we will see. Its hard to be positive when you've suffered because this judge an the corruption. Its good to hear others are praying instead of taking their anger out. God forgives us all. If he can forgive then we should forgive. I know it's hard to be positive when so many ate suffering due to his decisions but god will deal with him on his time unless he changes his ways. I don't know you or your connection with him but I'm praying for you as well as the other good people who are suffering. I'm praying for Watkins to even tho it's a little hard to do so.

The only thing this judge will change is the method of his abuse. A 90 day supervision period is less then a slap on the wrist. The signal that the Disciplinary Committee sends is one of it is ok to abuse those appearing before this rude jerk. It is very possible the elected Circuit judges who do have a voice, will take a more aggressive role in Putnam County. Among those, Reeder, is a top notch individual that would not tolerate such bullshit. The bottom line is this creep will likely survive until his term is up.
IF those civil cases reach a jury then justice will be served but the insurance company will pay the loss. Sadly, it won't be a personal loss to this creep.

Steve Canterbury should be the next one on the chopping block followed by former Magistrate Janie Moore Slater. She hides behind Steve. The Supreme Court has its head in the sand and cannot see what those two evil people are doing. Steve did take care of his father in Fayette Co., who nothing but a scumbag, just like Steve.

At least some of the press has referred to a %5 million suit by the Minister the Judge abused. I was taking that at face value.

One would think the JIC or the supreme court would do something more. Aren't they worried about more suits against this judge? They should be.

The charlatan preacher is not getting shit.

In WV, a judge is absolutely immune from civil liability for any and all judicial acts.

Not going to matter now seeing how the JIC made a decision today. Thank you JIC for helping the victims and thank you god for putting it in their hearts to make things right
