Victory's Vision of the next all-American cruiser

There are 3 comments on the Gizmag story from Apr 5, 2007, titled Victory's Vision of the next all-American cruiser. In it, Gizmag reports that:

“We're not rewriting American history, we're writing its future”

Perhaps, although the styling seems to blend the front end of a big touring Beemer with the rear of a 1930s gangster-style Cadillac . via Gizmag

I just sat on the new Victory Vision that was part of a Victory factory sponsered ride event at my local mega dealer.

It is beautiful and unlike anything else on the market. I think Victory has hit a home run with this tourer if it rides as good as it looks.

Since I am just 5'7" I really appreciated the low seat ht. I could straddle it with both feet flat on the ground. It also felt well balanced.

I had a gorgeous 2003 victory classic cruiser.
Beautiful machine in all regards.
This spring I was at my dealer and I asked him why they discontinued the classic cruiser.
The reply was "if you want a cruiser, buy a Harley" Now thats not a quote from my dealer. according to my dealer that was a quote from the CEO of victory at a national dealer convention when a dealer asked the same question of him.
Talk about feeling disowned. My 03 was the last of the very bikes that gave Victory their start.
So guess what? I traded that beautiful 03 classic cruiser in on a brand new Harley Davidson Ultra Classic. I'm not looking back either. With that kind of arrogance in the high ranks Of Victory, don't be surprised if they eventually disappear altogether. Victory along with the japs gave Harley a much needed kick in the pants. Harley Davidson answered the call.
If Victory thinks they're writing the future with monstrosities like the Vision.....don't count on it. Their arrogance will surely lead to their demise. Don't get me wrong...their bikes are awesome and I hated to say goodbye to mine, but now that I've been disowned I had to move on to a different family.
Good luck boys
