I think the best way to fight this would be one bike wk for all in may, cuts on expenses, frees up holiday weekend, only one week of noise for those without ear plugs, and everyone wins, If this doesn't work, I say come on bikers, but boycott hotels, rest, etc in Myrtle Beach only, then they will have no funds coming in, higher taxes, and angry citizens on their hands. and at the same time we ride and enjoy as always. The outside world is looking at us, and they do not understand, bikers, have familys, familys go elswhere to vacation, play golf, etc. They do not need Myrtle Beach. Garden City, Surfside, Little River, Pawleys, etc all beautiful places. Don't spite your face Myrtle Beach, you may get what you want. Lets not forget the elctions, a lot of people will be out of jobs, I'm sure of that.We will still be out here riding no matter what, so buy ear plugs and pay your tax increases, probably more to come.

I find it funny how they make it seem that the rally (harley) has out grown the area. I've been coming down since 1998 and It seems to me that the numbers have been declining. I don't hear the people complaining about the continuous building of (Bigger)hotels on Ocean Blvd. More hotels means more people. Maybe soon they won't want family reunions or church groups (these are also events). Maybe these events should also be stopped. "You certainly don't want to discriminate against any group or people." You people moved near a resort area and now you don't like it. "Move again or stay in your gated communities."

They dont care they want it their way or the highway They could care less about others wanting to make a living I for one am a GC resident and I ride everyday weather permitting. I own two successful businesses neither one based here and neither one having to do with bike weeks. But I am on the side of the working man and woman and undrstand the effects of trickle down economics in this area. I have personally taken my own steps to boycott Myrtle Beach because of their actions and attitudes. I no longer play golf at any courses in Myrtle Beach including that goat track the city owns called Whispering Pines I play in Loris or Garden City or Pawleys or Litchfield I no longer eat at any MB restaurants there are plenty on this end to eat at. I also will not buy any more city issued bonds In fact I have a few I am going to cash in and take a hit on to prove my point I am sorry for the hard working men and women that this may effect but I have drawn my line in the sand and taken my stand Yep I know some of you will have snide comments that I dont make any difference but multiply that by others that feel like I do and I believe it may have an effect Let these greyhaired fossil retirees that know so much support Myrtle Beach I will not bow down to totalism and communism any longer SHOVELHEAD GCB SC
