I was getting 3000 miles on the rear tire, no burnouts or smokies -just nice agressive riding.
Now I've got over 20,000 miles on the Dark Side and love every minute.
I ride the twisties of the Appalachians - West virginia - Pennsylvannia - Maryland.
7000 miles on the front Avon Cobras.
Twice that with the Riken Raptor on the rear.
Never regretted it once.
