Not much I can add. Just make sure the cable is tight and secure at the instrument and hub. On some scooters the cable is held in the hub by one of those little round spring clips, They can come loose or pop off.
OK thanks. I'll check things out.

wheres the drain holes for the gear oil on a roketa MC-08-50B

The drain will at the front and under the tranny. It will look like any other bolt, but may be slightly larger. Get a small metric/SAE socket set. Use the trial and error method. Loosen one bolt at a time, you will know when you get the right one.

Good Question: Most scooters have it the same area. You can go to this website and get that information and more: You need to sign up as a vip-member in order to get into that page, but it's all worth it a cause you can get manuals and diagrams for free as well. Sign up, it's free.

i have the roketa mc13 250 it was also hard to start when cold until i adjusted the valves. try adjusting them and this should solve your problem for cold starting.

Does anyone know if there is any fluid in these scooters when they arrive in the box? The dip stick is hard to read to say the least. There was no coolant in the radiator. I purchased the Roketa 250B thru Mr. Scooter out of California, the scooter came with the wrong manuel (250T) and the body was scraped pretty bad. I quess Chinese manuels are hard to come by. Other problems: it is difficult to start when cold and stalls when coming to a stop. Also I have about emptied my first tank full of gas (3.4gal) and have only driven 97 mi. Did they say these things get 80 mi to a gal. This one is computing to be around 30.

Anyone know how to take body panels off Roketa 150 to get to engine? Thanks.

If you can't find any screws, try grasping the panel at the bottom - gently slide it either left or right and see if it will lift off. But be very careful, Chinese plastic body parts are real junk, they easily crack. Also you may have to remove the seat to remove the body side panels.

Can someone help me locate the sparkplug on a Roketa Maui-50 scooter? The hand-drawn pictures in the manual are of no help, and I would like to either clean or replace the plug. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

The sparkplug will be on the muffler side of the engine. Take off the side panel. You will probably see the plug wire before you see the plug. Just follow the wire.

do you know where the spark plug is located on the roketa's i have a 2009 150 cc ??...
Robert wrote:
Too many to list. Needless to say, I had 800 miles on it was pretty much junk. It was a 50cc. Roketa and most Chinese scooters in addition of engines have a lot of electrical problems. Batteries, Wiring, fuses, lights, gages, spark plugs, CDI's, etc. Also the body panels are very cheaply made. The oil they put in the tranny and engine is very poor quality. The first thing anyone who buys a Chinese scooter should do is replace the engine and tranny oil. Then the spark plug and battery soon after.

okay, I agree! But ARE there any other suggestions on how to fix it? I have cleaned the carb.(twice) changed the CDI. It is not either one of those so I am up for suggestions even if they are wrong. Thanks again. And Robert, if I can get this thing running.... I WILL get rid of it.
