I just purchased a new 2008 bmg Milan 150cc. Changed out the orignal oil first and replaced with 15w40 castrol gtx oil, took off for a 20 mile hard run shut off engine and had oil pouring out of the air filter housing. Soooo I changed the oil again making sure not to overfill just sitting dipstick on top. The next day drove a mile or so no problem till about 6 more miles it stalled out at a stop oil coming out air filter housing again & will not restart. Anybody have an answer for me, the place I bought it from (countrymotorsports) say's they never heard of it.

You over filled causing a gasket to blow out in your oil over flow resevoir....silicone is a quick fix but you should be able to find replacement parts for under $50....a d.i.y. job'll save u a bunch but be warned! These chinese scooter's are very very sensitive. Always refill a gy6 150cc with no more than .9L of oil....especially gy6qmj's

What is there to beware of? Just bought a scooter from them. Mine leaked (BMS 200Pathfinder)but it looks like it wasd too full. Definitely air box looks like oil coming from breather on mine. Hope it was just too full. Maybe I'll put a Chevy in it. Ha!

I have a BMS Pathfinder. It too leaked oil from the breather tube (attached to the back of the air cleaner). For $100 I'll post the answer. LOL. Just kidding. I am so tired of looking for answers and getting these money sites. Anyway, the cure for me was to get a fuel filter (1/4" inlets) and mount it (tyrap it) to the frame. Be sure it is vertically mounted. Run the hose from the engine to the bottom of the filter. Out of the top of the filter run another hose to the air cleaner or just route it so the hose hangs down someplace. No drips since.
As for checking your oil, put it on the center stand and remove dipstick and wipe the dip stick off. Rescrew the dipstick in and then remove it again. The oil should be in the middle of the checkered area.
Hope this helps

Warning: whatever you do don't screw the dip stick all the way in to check the oil level, just set the stick back in the hole without screwing in it then pull out to read the correct oil level in the engine. If you screw it in all the way your getting an incorrect reading and not to mention not enough oil in the engine.

Also make sure the scoot in on the center stand and is fairly level side to side. Does not take much lean to give a false level read.

So from my reading here. It appears its a mfg / failure to properly set this up as I would assume this was not put together by a DEALER as these websites tell you to do or BEWARE as they say. Sadly, people want everything for nothing and they talk trash on the DEALER? lol.. people the dealer provides the bikes. YOU buy them and have the same INTERNET your complaining on to do your RESEARCH before you buy. Natrually your a genious and couldnt possible be mad at yourself for not reading the instructions right? I mean WE ALL read EVERY instruction. How about you fix your scooter and stop blaming the dealer who sold it to you and grow up. The BMS Pathfinder is a decent ride, just as someone said above. Can be SENSITIVE. That is a respectful word instead of BASHING companies.

First of all, internet sellers are NOT DEALERS!! They are DISTRIBUTORS!! They do not service or repair what they sell. Many do not even honor the warranty. People do not understand the warranty is a FACTORY warranty, not the distributor's warranty. The factory is in China, the parts are in China. If you buy a scooter off the internet you are ON YOUR OWN!

Read the owners manual. It says "screw the dip stick all the way back in" to check the oil. This is a common way to do on many bikes, so be consistant and follow the manual. It makes the difference. However, what I said above works. Running a fuel filter vertically in the the breather line causes it oil to return to the crankcase. haven't had a problem since.

The Roketa I had and the Yammy I have are different. The owner's manual on both say to put it on the center stand, make sure it is level, and "do not screw down" the dipstick. So, as Jim stated, be sure to read your owner's manual and do what they recommend.

guys here is the answer. It it so old snd yet they don't fix it. They all seem to blow oil out the breather. No you didn't over fill it. Get a small engine gas filter with 1/4 inch ends. Take hose from breather and run it verticall into fuel filter. Out the top of filter with another piece oh hose. Run that hose to air cleaner. Remember kep filter verticle. I tyraped mine to the sike of the carb. Sorry abuot spelling errors. I'm on my cell. If you want to cure cold start problems email me at 62vette62vette@gmail.com. I have a bms200 and cured those two problems finally. Illl be back on line tuesday jim

How stupid ARE you?
You bought a cheap piece of chineseSHIT.
You're totally brain dead.
Take your cheap-piece-of-chineseSHIT apart, put all those parts in a brown paper bag, swing it around over your head then cluck like a horney chicken.
