I have a 2002 Moskito SX, CPI JP50 that won't keep running. The engine runs so lean at low speed that the scooter won't stay running. Would like to know what the electric solenoid valve on the carburetor does and where it gets it's signal or power from. Any carburetor information would be nice. The carburetor is getting plenty of fuel from the gas tank. If anyone has a diagram of the carburetor, that would help. [email protected]

It is very unlikely that you could find a diagramm for this scooter. There is very limited technical info for these vehicles. The best you can do is to replace the solenoid or the entire carb. These cars are very cheep on http://www.partsforscooters.com/ or http://www.partsforchinesescooters.com/asp/gm...
Other than that it might be a CDI problem. This unit regulates the ignition management and they are known to go bad. You can first clean the card and see if any improvement. Good luck!

I assume the CDI means the Capacitor Discharge Ignition. Could you tell me the location of the card? I've checked the solanoid and am 99% sure it is okay. Thank you for the info.

Sorry, I meant to clean the carburator (card=carb). You are right about the CDI.

Looking for a stator for my 2002 mosquito. Needs to be for the 2 stroke, a 7 coil 4 wire plug. I can find the 3 wire plug, but not the 4 wire plug.

I drained the tank, carb, and put a new fuel filter on and I am having an issue with the bike bogging down when I hit like 20 mph plus. Even if I have the bike stationary and rev it that high it does the same thing. Any ideas? Thanks.

this is most likely a valve issue. You need to remove the cylinder head and adjust the valve clearance. search previous posts for clearance specs. after certain mileage the gap increases and the power decreases. a common problem with the Moskitos apparently.

just bought a 1999 MV Moskito. Oil is leaking out a short hose over the rear tire-slicking the tire. Why is the hose located in that position and how can I remedy this? Also missing the cover over the sparkplug compartment-where can I get a replacement? Thanks.

Someone commented on needing a battery, get measurements for your current one and then check on google, then check ebay. They are fairly cheap, I want to say 20-30 dollars US.
Also about the front brake rotor, best way to get parts for this is to check ebay. Most CPI and 49cc 2 stroke parts are universal with this model, so just try and go by the picture/decription to make sure you're getting a part that fits and works
u can get it on ebay 5l-bs $25

Wife has a 2002 MZ Moskito 125 scooter. I'm in need of a service manual. Anyone know of a place I can get one. I did find that the GY6 carb fits and works great for this motor.
