Recently, I discovered that my battery is going flat very fast. After charging it a few times with the auxiliary charger, at one point in time, while I was riding the bike, the battery went dead. Then, I discovered that the fuse from the charging side burned. I also discovered that the charging wire on the plus side is very hot during the engine work. After a few tests, removed the charging wire and measured 21.7 volts on the wire although the computer display is showing 11.8 volts from the alternator menu. I concluded that the voltage is too high, charging very strong current and damaging the battery. When the charging wire from the plus side is removed, the bike is working, but, of course, draining the battery down bit by bit.
What can I or should I do to fix this?
