Breva 1100 for touring?

Christchurch, New Zealand

#1 Jun 24, 2007
Hi there,

My wife and I live in New Zealand, and plan on doing a 2 month motorcycle tour of North America next year. The motorcycle I am looking at is the Breva 1100 with windshield and panniers. Any thoughts on the Breva 1100 would be appreciated?

Thanks in advance.

I have driven 12 000 km with my Breva 1100 and I had no problems whatsoever. Driving is a pure pleasure, the engine is rather rough but powerful. Quality and finish are excellent. Windshield is recommended. Great bike. Marc

I have had the Breva 1100 since bought new May '06. Have about 4,000 miles on it now; love it, a great bike...have the paniers and windshield. It actually rides better with the panniers. The windshield is ok, but with a top deflector it would be better I think, but alas they (the deflector lips) are unavailable as of yet.

agree with Marvin the windshield needs to be taller. I have got an 07 Breva 1100 and love it with the paniers with the Guzzis wind screan from factory and its just not enough but the ride is great anyway. If you are rideing near Montana Yellowstone area . BEAR TOOTHE PASS . there is no other ride like it...
