I got tired of waiting on 1 so I got help from a KTM dealer and I built mine. I used a complete aftermarket chassis (Leager) w/ the 525exc. My business partner built his w/ the '96 550 2-stroke in a 400ex chassis. I also put a 50cc ktm into my daughter's lem quad. I have some good contacts w/ some of the guys that work at the Amherst Headquarters in OH. just be patient and KTM is working on a great Quad of there own. It is said to be using the 450sx-f dual overhead cam engine!!! AWESOME. They are taking there time and making sure what they bring out will be the best, like all their bikes

I watched the outlaw w/ the ktm 525 race in Arizona. The bike overheated more times than I would like to say. I talked to the rider after he limped it back to his pit. he told me that it is a problem that has cost him plenty of races and has tried a number of thing but nothing seems to work with it. just an FYI

Actually, they just began racing the quad in the grand national cross country series. I beleive the first race it was entered into was missouri. I know the one that they raced was a 450. I heard that it also had a killer motor. They are already putting together a factory team.

Yes Partyboy...Its called the "Bizzaroe-world Death Quad"...No KTM will never sell a quad to the general public with a 990 superduke motor. Not ever. Never
