Her Times :: It's About Time

I too ride my own, I bought my first bike in the early 90's just after I bought my house in Erie, now I own my third bike, a 1300cc Honda VTX and love every mile I put on him. I went to Springfield, MO last year for a Women On Wheels Ride In, this year I rode to upper Michigan and had a lot of fun with over 300 women plus their spouses attending. I also ride to work as much as possible, no matter how my day goes, as soon as I am on my bike I start smiling again. Next year the Ride In will be in Texas and some of my friends in Missouri will ride there with me, a first, I usually ride by myself.
Blue skies, green lights and safe journeys all.

I got bit again by the motorcycle bug after 19 years. I live in Tucson and now have 2 wonderfull bikes( a 1300 VTX and a Kingpin). I would love to have women to ride with. With enough notice, I may be able to go too. I doubt that I will trailer to a site so 2-4 day rides in this part of the country will be ideal. If there is a website to contact , please let me know. Thank you

I am looking into getting my first bike.
I'm a small petite woman, 5'3"
Did you start with an old/beat up cheap bike???
I have really got the "ITCH" to get one and ride. I have been a passenger for two years.

Hi Info. I don't consider myself a "biker" but I have one. A 650 V-Star. Frankly, a best friend is a Harley guy and I've met many that underneath the veneer are cool and easy going.
Perhaps one thing to consider is what's the pose you want to strike. Frankly, I could have bought a Harley and purposely didn't because I'm not into the group mentality thing.
If you think you might like a Harley, they have petite bikes for petite girls like you :) Frankly, I'm 50 and riding my bike reminds me of the freedom and enjoyment of riding my bicycle when I was a little kid. It rocks :)
Also, my cousin (a girl/chick) has a Harley and it's just the thing for her. I suggest you think what you might like, but check out several. For my cousin, the color played a big part in her decision :)
Just know that whatever one you pick, that's how you'll be judged as a "biker". Just enjoy it is the main thing!!! Good luck!
