The bits of fairing bang together at speed. Kawasaki have issued a kit to fix this (basically some vibration absorbing tape) to dealers in the U.S. Maybe follow up with your dealer.

My ER6F keeps loosing battety charge. Has anyone else had this problem? My bike is less than a year old and the garage says it's fine but I have to constantly charge the battery. My girlfriend has a Chinese imitation Honda 125 the same age which starts every time even though she rarely rides it. I want to get it sorted before the warranty expires - any advice welcome

Do you have a SECURITY system fitted that may be draing the battery when not being ridden??

That battery problem usually is connected with security alarm, John is probably right... if you have one installed and you dont use your bike for a week, you should disconnect it,or... your bike wont start. I have a Hornet and a CBR 600F and i have those problems until i do this (disconect the alarm) and for precaution, disconect the negative pole from the battery too. :(

Hi It the cam chain after breaking it in it loosens and there is a blade in the engine that can tighten it up by a bolt on the out side your mechanic should be able to do it easily as part of a service. I had a major rattle now only the odd time as she has loosend slightly again

This problem has coming from Head Sliders. For fix this problem, you can use some kind of tape or sponge I think. Remember, every bike has problems.

I have had a rattle on the faring since new at about 2000 revs. The dealer put damper tape on with little effect. I have taken faring apart and fild off bits touching each other which has lessened the problem. I am so aware of it that I am almost listening out for it. Unfortunate as it has been a great bike otherwise

shame to hear about your problems doc, it's disappointing when the dealer doesn't do a proper job.
good advice there, can you describe the rough location of the bits you filed?(admittedly it should be self-explanatory by the chafing marks, but just to point people in the right direction.)
thanks again for the help, I'm on an ER6 / ER5 forum and that sort of advice is priceless.
