With gas at $4.50+ in So Cal it worked for me. I just bought a new 2007 Vulcan 900 Classic and got 47 mph on the first tank of gas with mostly city commuting and a little freeway time. It is a big relief from my 2001 Silverado Crew Cab, long bed, 2500HD with the 8100 cc gas guzzler. It gets about 8 mph around town and 4mph pulling the toyhauler out to the dessert. The bike is much easier to park and my wife loves riding on the back too.
