I thought I read somewhere that Honda was coming out with a 8 cylinder Goldwing that is pushing like 240 HP anything on this do you know if this is true or not

Unlikely. Honda is too conservative for that and listens to her liability lawyers! No such beast.

240 HP? Unlikely in my view. The "24" likely came from "2400" which would be the logical displacement of the next generation Gold Wing. I believe Honda would be so conservative with such a project that the additional displacement would be used mainly to increase the already massive low end torque. On the other hand it would be the hotroder's dream. Changing the cam timing of such an engine would require a rear tire that exists now only in the mind of dreamers. Mike Heaton.
