It would turn to GARBAGE, WHO WANTS AN ELECTRIC HARLEY, turn an American classic motorcycle into JUNK. Sorry

Maybe we don't like the idea,
but imho it's the future.
Within 30 years it will be peculiar to ride a bike with a combustion engine.....

I'll pass. There is a reason why they make Harleys that are loud. If you don't know why, stay off the hog.

I never did understand why people try to get their vehicles to be louder. Just didn't make sense to me. When I hear a car or bike rumbling by, makes me think something is wrong with it and it needs repairs.

This is called progress. Vehicles aren't going to run on gas forever.
Loud motorcycles are obnoxious anyone. Obviously compensation for something...

Its called MOLESTATION, Leave the harley alone, go get a rice rocket to play with. As for the PROGRESS comment? Hey progress is fine. Do it with something else and leave the classic design alone. Electric bike? No problem, might be fun just use your own design if you can handle it.

an electric "Harley" is not a Harley.

I think it's a cool project. I ride a Harley and wouldn't really want an electonic one, but I support the idea of tinkering around with anything if not to learn then for fun. An electronic or hybrid non-moped motorcycle might find a market in todays world. Why do comment threads always get off topic? This report has nothing to do with loud vs. quiet pipes, or Harley vs Victory. Try to keep posts objective or you all sound like raving idoits.

I can't speak for the car folk, but as far as motorcycles are concerned it is about safety.

.. this leads to an interesting conundrum:

If a chromosexual rides down the street and nobody hears his ear-shattering (but safe) exhaust, did the chromosexual actually ride down the street?

Might as well paint them pink and market them in San Francisco, no Harley rider wants an electric motorcycle.

Obnoxious maybe, but the noise saves lives.
