This is probably the best thing to happen to Ducati since I first came across these wonderful machines in 1978!

I am SO STOKED to know this is happening. I'm a hoosier stuck in Florida but I've enrolled in classes @ MMI starting in August and can't wait to get started.

Hearing the news of my favorite brand being back in my home city is awesome! I never really liked the guys down in Cincinnati, hopefully Indy Ducati will succeed expand to include other euro brands maybe? MV Agusta, Aprillia, bring back BMW to Indy? I just wonder if the market can really sustain a Ducati dealer again, they've disappeared before in Indy.

After speaking with these guys, and visiting their dealership, I can tell you with all honesty they have no clue.
A backyard mechanic who's "piddled" with someone's race bike isn't what I consider "qualified".
I'll give them 10-12 months before they're just another memory.
Guess I'll still go out of state to get my bikes. And a real mechanic.
I don't really know what Habib's true experience was with the new Ducati dealer, CarrMoto/IndyDucati, but I can say nothing but great things after my first experience. I've bought 9 Ducatis in the past 15 years, all out of state (MCC in Chicago, mainly). I recently purchased a Hypermotard at MCC before I knew there was a dealer coming to Indy. It experienced some fuel delivery problems and after having the issue fixed by Matt Carr at Indy Ducati, I can definitely say he is no 'piddler'. I actually met Matt when he was a technician at MCC years ago and then I understand he worked at a dealer in Detroit for years. Matt was able to bring his many years of experience as a Ducati technician to the issue and solve it quickly. Customer service was outstanding. I'd trust Matt to work on any of my bikes. I for one am very impressed.
