My taxes pay for the police, fire people, sanitation clean-up, beach clean-up, etc. Who do you think PAYS for these services? THINK!
Bob Grabowski said the report shows that the bike rallies largely pay for themselves, at least from county government's point of view. He said the report should eliminate the false notion that the rallies cost the county more than they bring in.

This is really funny! Taxes went up so they could deny vendor licensing. It's smart on the city's part they are getting their money either way. I wonder when their ne cars will be here?

After banning the vendors your next step should be to pass a law banning motorcycles from myrtle beach. Then you could move on the SUVs. They're big and use a lot of gas (don't want them messing up you air down there). Consider this, just allow bicycles. That way there is no noise and all you nuts can sleep good a night and walk around your GHOST TOWN all day and night without fear of the motorcyclist. I for one come to enjoy the area and spend a fair amount of $$$$ during the Harley Rallies.
You folks sound just like my work place. One bad apple spoils it for all of us. One person can do something wrong and management punishes the whole work group. DEAL WITH THE REAL PROBLEM!
This is a typical all-or-nothing response. If SUVs ran aftermarket mufflers that shook peoples houses then yes MB would ban them too. Why won't you listen? Harley itself is trying to stop the aftermarket muffler fad. The AMA says loud pipes are destroying all their efforts to give motorcyclists equal rights. You say you come to MB and spend a fair amount of money? They are telling you they dont want you or your money or your loud Harley. You say one bad apple? It's 100,000 Harleys with loud aftermarket pipes that have driven the citizens of MB to their nerves end. Put the stock mufflers back on your Harley and this problem will go away! But you won't put the quiet pipes back on because you don't care and nobody wants visitors who dont care.
