Jimmy O. Glad to see your offer for service help. I have a 2006 Lifan 200 engine I'm trying to put into an old Cushman frame. Engine will only run with gas squirted into the carb. Carb will not pick up fuel in line. I've cleaned the carb twice and tried to set the floats higher, so far no luck..... Is there a carb rebuild info booklet or a trick, how about voo doo? Help in Texas Bob

I PURCHASED A 250CC LIFAN CRUISER FROM AN AMERICAN COMPANY WITH A WARRANTY. EVERYONE I SPEAK TO SAYS THAT THE LIFAN HAS A GREAT MOTOR AND IS A GOOD MOTORCYCLE. I HAVE TRIED TO FIND OUT WHAT PARTS WEAR OUT OR BREAK FIRST. NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW OR THEY HAVENT HAD ANY PARTS REPLACED YET, WHICH IS HARD TO BELIEVE. ANY RESPONDERS OUT THERE?
THANKS,

Parts can be gotten for sure Lifan dealers can get you any part you needed. Change oil every 1000 miles with high quality engine oil and every thing will be fine I have 20,000 miles on my 200 sport bike and no motor poblems yet. 100 miles to a gallon of gas. Tires will be first and chain. headlight bulbs burn out very fast but I believe vibaration is causing problem with head light bulbs. I'm looking for second source for light bulbs they are not common bulbs any where I have looked. Local auto part store with have parts for you also no problem with part. Change oil, lub chain and use lock tight on all nuts and bolts and screws. Get good o ring chain for drive and then just tires, tires, and tires. Bike works very well all the time.I have been riding motorcycle for 40 years just no problem with bike to this point. Do you or any one know where to get headlight for 200cc sport bike 2006 is my year.

thanks for any help you can help me with

do not order Lifan motorcycle from any one. Go get bike in person no matter what. If you can not touch it it does not exist no matter what. Lifan has big problems with title work for sure. I recommend buying the bike and get title on the spot no matter what. Buyer be where for any thing is best policy always and for ever.

sillylee here go back a couple of replies and your answer is there. Use Castrol syntinc oil and change oil ever 1000 miles and you should be ready to go. better oil less times to change.
I have been riding motorcycles for 40 years.

Parts, Support, and Registered Bikes

I did some research PRIOR to buying the bike.
Based on my research, I purchased from an authorized American Lifan dealer. The bike I got was an LF-250B. It was registered correctly by the dealer, put together fairly well, and the bike still runs great 1 month later with over 4,000 miles on it.(ok - so I ride alot). I bought the bike from RED OAK CYCLES in Red Oak, Texas.

They also sell parts, accessories, etc, and I haven't had any issues with my saddle bags, crash bar, etc. Only thing they haven't found for me yet (they are still looking) is a tail rack.

Try adjusting your fuel air screw in all the way till it just light touches, screw it back out 1 and a half turns. Adjust in or out till it idles. Adjust 1/8 of a turn at a time in or out till idle is at it highest rpm.

I just bought an Eagle 250 (Lifan). It came in a box. A friend helped assemble it. The brake light switch was broken in shipment. Right now, I can't get it to operate without choking it. I think the carb is "jacked". If I can't figure out what's wrong, I'll have to get it replaced.
I also bought saddle bags and a rear bag for accessories. I will have to send them back for replacement. The quality control is really bad. The screw holes for the bag frames do not align with the bike.
I have high expectations once it is running properly, but I am really frustrated at the moment.

I just got a Lifan Verucci Phantom VC250 off of craigslist for $300. I knew there was something wrong with it before I bought it because the guy told me there was. I have been working on it for about 2 months now. I have changed the coil packs and the CDI box. I had it sarted and running till I shut it down to change and charge the battery. NOw with teh battery fully charged I can not get it running again. There are two in line fuses that when I hooked the battery back up they blew and replaced them and still nothing. Can some one give me any ideas on what to look at next before I spend the money on a new set of coil packs again. Thank Tim Lost in PA

Hi every one I have 2006 Lifan gs 200cc road bike it just turned 20,000 miles and just replaced rear tire. Shin 712 110/90/18 now 48.00 dollars from cycle whole part included shipping.

This new tire is wider and bigger around. Better road holding power and rpms are the same but speed is 5mph faster also. Good mode to lower rpms for sure. I did change rear spocket on it three years ago and no problems at all after 20,000 miles. Bike came wih 40 tooth and now 30 tooth spocket. This bike cruise now for sure and only changes needed to increase speed and never touched the motor at all. Try it out some time if you feel the bike is geared to low.

Bought a Lifan 250 Cruiser in 2004 and was very pleased with it from day one. To date have had no problems with the engine but did replace the starter. Also replaced the left handle bar switch. Had a problem with the front brake master cylinder when first put the bike together but part was replaced. Have had no problem with obtaining parts from American Lifan. Called them (Lifan) to get the name of an authorized dealer ordered the parts through them and received then in a timely manner. Have to mention that there is no dealer in our area so have work and service done at local Yamaha dealer. No problem there either.
