On top of that it looks like the friend I purchased the bike from fell on the side of the battery and the frame is squeezing the battery so I can't get it out for the risk of causing it to leak. So I can really use some help!!

Just an fyi to everyone. I just rode my 2006 Lifan 200cc on the Lake Erie Loop. 674 miles in about 12 hours of hard riding! The only problem I had is my ignition switch vibrated loose and I lost the electrical. Bike ran great!! I was very pleased with how it held up!

Did you find out what was wrong with your bike? I just bought a 200 Dual Sport and the same thing is happening, won't run without choking it. Would be great if you could help me out.

I just bought an Eagle 250 (Lifan). It came in a box. A friend helped assemble it. The brake light switch was broken in shipment. Right now, I can't get it to operate without choking it. I think the carb is "jacked". If I can't figure out what's wrong, I'll have to get it replaced.
I also bought saddle bags and a rear bag for accessories. I will have to send them back for replacement. The quality control is really bad. The screw holes for the bag frames do not align with the bike.
I have high expectations once it is running properly, but I am really frustrated at the moment.

I own a Lifan / Ricardo 200 cc R3, mine is a 2007, i have 3,5xx miles on it, i love it, i get 410 miles to a 2.75 gallon tank of gas in town, ive had to do a lil work on it but i got it used and figured it had been rode hard since i got it cheap, most of the parts i rplaced came off e-bay, you can buy a brand new carb for uner 50 bucks so worrying so much about cleaning a bad one seems silly to me, Also I have a Iron Pony motorcycle shop in my town, everything ive needed i just take it off my bike and take it in, they can always find a matching part, these cheaper bikes don't design many of there own parts so usually there is a older bike or dirt bike that uses the same exact part

Thanks for the info!! Was worried I got a bad deal. Got this one used but it only had 110 miles on it and figured I would take a chance. Hopefully everything will turn out ok.

All I did was remove the drain plug underneath, watch for the spring that is above the large drain plug. I don't have a filter on mine so I just drained the oil out and put about 1 guart back in to fill it.
That's all the oil it took to fill up again.
