Lifan is definetly one of the better bikes out there. However, make sure you purchase it through an authorized American Lifan Dealer or you will find you have no warranty and you wont be able to get parts..

Be sure to check your local title and registration requirements. I purchased a 200cc dual sport from Lifan Wholesale, which appears to be closely linked to RabbitScooters, but as of yet have not been able to get it registered. I have not been able to get any help from Lifan Wholesale, or the state of oregon. If anything good happens, I will update the post...but in the meantime, proceed carefully and do your research in advance in the state where you live.

I purchased a lf200 from Lifan Wholesale and love the bike. Registration is a problem. DMV says that they will not register the bike in the VIN starts with L. Give me a break. Their bitch is that it does not comply with FED EPA requirements and State safety requirements. There arguement is bogus. This is the exact same bike in every characteristic as those imported by American Lifan which is OK with DMV. What we need is a lawyer to straighten DMV out. Whether you VIN is a L or an A makes no difference to safety or the environment.

I PURCHASED A 250CC LIFAN CRUISER FROM AN AMERICAN COMPANY WITH A WARRANTY. EVERYONE I SPEAK TO SAYS THAT THE LIFAN HAS A GREAT MOTOR AND IS A GOOD MOTORCYCLE. I HAVE TRIED TO FIND OUT WHAT PARTS WEAR OUT OR BREAK FIRST. NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW OR THEY HAVENT HAD ANY PARTS REPLACED YET, WHICH IS HARD TO BELIEVE. ANY RESPONDERS OUT THERE?
THANKS,

I purchased a 150cc motor scooter from Wildfire inc. it is a 150cc touring motor scooter. the only thing I have had trouble with is the left mirror vibrates. they have a good parts warranty. I will order a new left mirror and i'll be good to go. The scooter rides good and has a lot of storage space under the seat and in the trunk.
Thanks,

I highly recomend buying from an "Authorized" dealer of these products. Not to promote myself, but if you do buy from an authorized dealer like me, you get much more than a bike you can reg. WITHOUT trouble. You get parts support, advise, a Genuine MSO etc. I cannot even sell parts to someone who has a bike until the VIN is ran. Is it really worth saving $200.00 for a bike you can't ride on the road?

I ordered a bike from American Lifan 11 days ago, and Gordon said he has all the info needed,
then 3 days ago I got a message on my phone that
there was a problem with the color, and would ship
wednesday,(yesterday), and then I got an email that
it had already shipped (before I got the phone call)
Do these people KNOW what's going on in their own
shipping chain?
I just want my bike. It was billed immediately, why was'nt it shipped then?
Yes I have the emails to prove what I say...

Do not buy a so called Lifan unless you get it from a genuine American Lifan Dealer.

I have been waiting about 3 months for an on-line seller to send the parts I need to complete my bike.

Heres A link to the full story. Take a good hard look. http://lifancycle.com/viewtopic.php...

Please tell us what American Lifan dealer are you talking about?

Or are you saying you ordered a bike direct from American Lifan, the distributor in Texas?

Thanks. Buyingchina

I just bought an Eagle 250 (Lifan). It came in a box. A friend helped assemble it. The brake light switch was broken in shipment. Right now, I can't get it to operate without choking it. I think the carb is "jacked". If I can't figure out what's wrong, I'll have to get it replaced.
I also bought saddle bags and a rear bag for accessories. I will have to send them back for replacement. The quality control is really bad. The screw holes for the bag frames do not align with the bike.
I have high expectations once it is running properly, but I am really frustrated at the moment.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Leo

You're in a very idealistic mood today, making it almost impossible for you to view loved ones in their true colors. If they've got any faults you won't see them because you'll have blanked them out. This rosy vision of your nearest and dearest is fine if it doesn't last long but it will cause problems if it persists and you continue to brush any problems under the carpet.
