...by a striking coincidence, poor kids everywhere are starting a fund-drive of their own to teach Harley riders to respect local noise ordinances and basic hygine like shaving and bathing.

You really should shut up. Lemme guess, you're one of those people who couldn't ever afford a bike so you treat those who can like dirt..wow, do you feel like a big person now?! If you don't like motorcycles then oh well, that doesn't mean you need to judge someone just because they do like motorcycles. Besides, I think there are only a few bikers that I've seen who even fit into the category that you're describing. MOST of them are very good people who have money and nice homes. They did a toy run out of the kindness of their hearts. Instead of complaining on the computer why don't you go do something useful and maybe try to help out the people in your community... Oh wait, never mind...that would require you to have to get off your ass and do something!!

Actually they mostly do the toy run to show off their bikes and pose in their costumes in front of everyone with their loud bikes. I used to do that until I watched Wild Hogs.

hey ...what was wrong with wild hogs....that was a funny touching movie....lol....never mind that it was pretty typical of the biker scene now...i dont ride a bike because when i bought one last time my wife was so mad she thru a brick though the front picture window.....so she made me sell it since she thought i would be riding around picking up chicks on it.....i could pick up chicks on a bicycle lol....but i began riding back in 1974 when i got my first license and before that minibikes and dirt bikes....i rode a bike yamaha 250 to junior high and high school....but now i would rather ride a pickup...lol...the only gripe i have of the toy runs is that i hope the kids get more than just the teddy bears that get rode rash on top of these harleys....i mean the bikers spend so much money for the show that the results cant be as good as if they just donated the money to buy the toys...

umm...i think most kids have dolls that want them...even the carc farm store has dolls really for pennys...what kids really need are clothes and food....and a safe healthy environment to live....but hey...if all the bikers can give are dolls...then more power to them harleys.....but take the money theses guys spend on this rally and they would do a whole lot more for the kids....

San Jose church helps children.

Christmas anonymous. CARC is crap.

They should be closed. They sell filth.

New items only. People are not really poor. God helps us when he
likes us.

Harley types need to be noticed. Their dress says, "Hey everybody look at ME!" And since that routine got really tired back in about '74 they resort to annoying loudness to interrupt everybody who WAS having a good day to stop what they were doing, look up and and hate some dolt on a Harley who is telegraphing, "Hey everygody, look at ME!"

wow...martha ....you typed more than two words.....the end of the world is really coming....lol....or its going to snow this weekend....either way....oh i do ....i help out peoples kids alot....and i also have grandkids that are dirt poor...they are the ones poorer than the ones getting the toys....every one needs to pitch in and help..not just leave it up to the bikers....but there are so many people out there that complain and yet they stand in line for the food boxes at the churches....handouts at the other places like jonahs house...etc...yet the parents smoke, drink and party all the time and have xbox, netflix and satelite tv....i grew up without getting to see much tv....your chores and homework had to be done and then maybe....i donate lots of stuff and take things to the rec center....lots of the kids there know me as the one who brings donuts....people are poor ....especially when the difference is big like when one kid goes to school with the latest nikes and the other has walmart brand shoes on with holes in them....there are a lot of worthy charities like coats for kids that can use a hand martha if you cant help out monetarily they can use your labor.....you might consider that these next few weeks like giving back....

If all these kids are in need, why are they having them if they can't afford them? Are they thinking the government will just chip in or a neighbor? They do have birth control.

We dont go to show off to anyone, its our way of life, we are professionals within your community, if you ever thought to get to know us you would probably have a different opinion. as far as the loud pipes, well at least you know were there so you dont turn into us, I myself have a very quiet Harley, with that said I have had to pull over to the shoulder due to people turning in my lane, its not very fun being on a 1200 lb. machine and being faced with a 4,000 lb car. Anyway the money we donate and the toys mean alot to the child who has nothing. before anyone talks us down, walk a mile in our shoes!!

Tonight is the eve of St Nicholas.
Tomorrow is his feast day. A child
at catechism received a cell phone
after it rang in my purse. How cute.

I am in total agreement with you on this! My dad rode a harley in the 50's thru the early 80's. He is now 81 years old and the thing he has taught me the most is to look out for motorcyclists because most people do not pay attention to them! People think they are scum which is just ignorant!

Hey brother, not saying you all are bad people, but instead you all are great people to know. After watching Wild Hogs the movie, it kinda made me look at the way I was dressing and how I posed in front of people. I did not like that.
Thanks for doing the charity work all of you. Like you said you get run off the street sometimes, I also saw this, so that is why I quit riding, It's not if I'm going to get in an accident, but when. Health care cost now days would be costly. When I see a biker coming I give wide girth. Ride on my Brothers.

Well, since my last post my company just hired one of your Harey Riders. I was unassuming, optomistic, and presumed the best about this new human who would be joining us.
But, sure enough. We now have to put up with a dolt who slurps and burps at the lunch table, talks 3 times as loud as the rest of us need to hear him, re-itterates rotten filth about n6ggwer movies and works at his machine with his maw gaping open and his toungue hanging out like a some Electo-Shock Therapy patient.
Thanks, Harey-Darleson Motorcycle members or whoever you are. Thanks for yet another example of motorcycle bilge that our youngsters are somehow supposed to emulate to succeed in life...

Maybe children won't like it,but lots of adults love motorcycles.
Bikerunity(.)net is for biker singles to find the relationship, but not for children.
