Official says Bridgeport making grade on school construction

In what state House of Representatives Majority Leader Denise Merrill, D-Storrs, called a "really, really hard year" economically, Bridgeport schools didn't do too badly when it came to construction grants from the state.

How does Hartford have less of a grand list than Bridgeport. All those office buildings downtown, all those businesses, and Bridgeport has more of a grand list?

Someone in Hartford is fudging some numbers somewhere. That does not seem accurate.
