Obama pardoned Republican Senator Ted Stevens so maybe he or the governor of Texas will pardon Delay.

Even Dumbya Bush commuted Libby's jail sentence.

Libby judge 'perplexed' by clemency
His 30-month sentence was appropriate for the former Cheney aide, he writes in his first public comments on the issue.

WASHINGTON In an unusual expression of frustration, the judge who sentenced former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby to 30 months in jail, only to see the sentence commuted by President Bush, said he was "perplexed" by the act of clemency.
In his first public comments on the matter, U.S. District Judge Reggie B. Walton took issue with Bush's statement that the prison sentence ordered for Libby last month was "excessive." Walton defended the sentence, saying that he followed established legal precedents as well as a strict interpretation of federal sentencing guidelines that has been supported by Bush's own administration./

Republican Vitter's number on D.C. madam's list
July 09, 2007 / http://tinyurl.com/2foeob
WASHINGTON _ Sen. David Vitter, R-La., apologized Monday night for "a very serious sin in my past" after his telephone number appeared among those associated with an escort service operated by the so-called "D.C. Madam."

Vitter's spokesman, Joel Digrado, confirmed the statement in an e-mail sent to The Associated Press.
"This was a very serious sin in my past for which I am, of course, completely responsible," Vitter said in the statement. "Several years ago, I asked for and received forgiveness from God and my wife in confession and marriage counseling. Out of respect for my family, I will keep my discussion of the matter there -- with God and them. But I certainly offer my deep and sincere apologies to all I have disappointed and let down in any way."
The statement containing Vitter's apology said his telephone number was on old phone records of Pamela Martin and Associates before he ran for the Senate.

Bush didn't pardon Libby, as slick did for several criminals before leaving office. Your point isn't worth two cents. From what we understand here, Perry will NOT pardon him, either. It seems the republicans hold people in their party accountable, the demorats do not.

Texas delayed this long enough so it wouldn't hurt repub elections a few years ago.

Or maybe they did it so Delay could do Dancing With The Stars.

Woof, with all the money the Federal Reserve is printing to pay for the Obama Regime's spending, I would think a "Money Laundry" would be a good business. Who wants dirty money?

If you think DeLay was caught, just wait until the Republicans again have complete control of our government. They will all have thier hand in the till. There will again be NO oversight. They will steal everything they can get thier hands on.With no one to stop them.Just like the Bush administration. The voters deserve this kind of representation--they asked for it as evidenced by the last election. The banks, insurance companys,Doctors and Hospitals will rule the nation and can do no wrong while everyday citizens file for bankruptcy.

Woof, Sucking Tooth, It depends on what you mean by "We". I know I have, but I don't know if you even pay taxes. My experience is most Progressives on Topix are big unproductive talkers who don't pay taxes.

The National debt was created by Reagan and Bush Jr.Obama merely spent what it took to avoid a world depression from thier negligent spending. The one that still irks me is the bi-centinnel celebration in New York-It was like an Academy awards with a massive taxpayer bill. What a waste.
