What had happened had happpened.Obama needs to take a much wider view of history. Being of Kenyan origin, he should be sympathetic to Burma. What happened in Burma in July 1962 was only a link in the 'chain of history'. The root causes are colonialism and the evil Panglong agreement.
The Burmese political activists completely fail to underdtand that it was the timebomb Clement Attlee left behind - with smile.
The Irish saying is: An Englishman can smile at you and stab you in the back.'
Onama must not reopen the wounds of Burma. He must help Burma heal the wound and help develop the economy.
