There are perils aplenty for prospective investors but after nearly half a century of isolation under a notoriously harsh military junta, this fabulously fertile land has suddenly become one of the hottest/coolest places to be on the planet.

What is th epopulation of Burma? 64 million, 54 million or 50 million? Different reporters use different figures. How much do they know or understand about Burma?
