Why can't Denard Span catch anything at the wall, that ball he couldn't come down with probably cost them the game. Tori Hunter and Kirby Puckett made those catches all the time, why can't he, is he afraid of the wall.

How does third place taste Twins. I think Chicago may end up winning this division because you can cover up a lot of faults with great pitching.

from an earlier post......He saw him chase a breaking ball by two feet, then he throws a fastball away and he hits it off the wall," manager Ron Gardenhire said. "That's just bad selection of pitches and not executing, and that's what cost you a ballgame tonight. Pretty disappointing." doesn't the coaching staff call most of the pitches? what are you going to do about it gardy? how about some real coaching from you and your staff. the rash of errors, bad pitches at key times, no effort to stay out of double plays by hit\runs or bunts. the list could go on. this all falls at one persons doorstep, yours. get interested, the marathon is about half over. getting close to sprint time.

You ever watch baseball? The manager does not call the pitches, the catcher calls the pitches. Sometimes the catcher gets overruled by the pitcher if they think they have a better pitch or for some reason one of their pitches is just not working that night. Some pitchers are better at setting up a hitter, fast ball away followed by an inside change up for example, and that's what Gardy was referring too. And sprint time...there's how many games left?

The twinkies should be 5 games in the lead, now they are all hurt, pitching is going in the tank, can't win on the road, even if they make the playoffs, they will be 4 and OUT. So much for that new stadium. Oh, and Joe, you are a nice guy,
but didn't you just sign that huge contract? What's up with the mediocre batting stats??

Baker still in there he sucks can't put togetter two good outings if he tried too, but gardy who sucks as manager keeps in in there. You can't be good if they only going to put effort in for one inning. this team is nothing, just a bunch of could have beens. They can't compete with anybody.

Mediocre pitching at best, combined with an average defense guarantees the Twins will save money in October because there will no need to turn on the lights at Target Field. Gardnenhire and his pitching coach Anderson have worn out their welcome with the Twins. I'm tired of his fumbling, bumbling excuses.

hey sport. you look at my posts on gardy, that is exactly the problem i have with his style of management. he is not involved in the game. tonights game was another example. moon shot scott was throwing batting practice. even jack morris on 1500 was saying that moon shot should throw inside, brush these guys off the plate. why doesn't gardy suggest that? baker gives up a double on an 0-2 pitch to clear the bases. why is that pitch anywhere close to being hittable?
