The way the Twins slump is going I wouldn't bet on any one of them scoring on a drunk hooker.

It is very disappointing to see another quallity start go down the drain. To me the Twins have got to make a move for a catcher that can hit at least 200. Butera is hitting 109 come on, NL pitchers are hitting at a 130 clip. There has to be someone better! Morneau looks sickly to me and Cuddyer swings at pitches that could not be hit with a 2x4. What gives, where is our hitting coach. There is no leadership or passion on this team. Mauer has turned into a big overpaid baby. This is going to be a very long losing season.

There is no hope for this team. Send the top players down for some rehab. Morneau needs to hang it up. His overall performance is terrible, looks totally confused.
Fire Vavra now and get a hitting coach, he has done nothing to help the baatting at all.

WOW.........This team has done it all......Stand in front of a mirror side by side and see if any of you can pick out a major league baseball player....What a pathetic show of enthusiasm this team puts out there....Is there an ounce of pride in what they do for a living....A coach can only do so much for grown men and then he has to count on their effort on the field.....Where are these guys' heads at?....Any true fan of the Twins would have given their left nut to go out there yesterday and win a game for Harmon Killabrew.....A team this lethargic needs a complete evaluation from a good "shrink".....I'll always love the Twins as far as being a fan all my life but this group needs SOMEBODY, ANYBODY to stand up and show some LIFE to this team....You have a new stadium, loyal fans, a history of winning and a TRUE TWINS LEGEND watching his final games...Any incentive there?....

It took MLB pitchers one season to figure out the lil' Mikey C can't hit a slider. Lil' Mikey knows this but he continues to flail away at this very pitch time after time. One would think that the Twins coaches would also realize that lil' Mikey can't hit this pitch, and swings at wild outside balls constantly, and maybe work on helping him overcome these deficiencies. Or not...

Why isn't Joe Mauer playing? This has gotten far beyond the ridiculous stage!

Morneau has 1 HR and 9 RBI-why are they telling us he is ok? It will soon be time to sit him down. He is a waste batting 4th. Embarrassing!

Because of his "star" status, Mauer has bought into the coddle concept. An entire army of MN nursery attendants, lead by Gardenhire, somehow feel Joe is exempt from having to suffer any pain. Saving him up for the big games like they did last year? Yeah, that really helped....what a joke. And it doesn't appear there will be any big games this year. If one reads about the players of days gone by (and some present day examples as well), it's hard to believe players like Mauer get paid at all. Gehrig, Ripken, Cobb, Jeter, Paige, Bench, Oliva, Rose, the list goes on forever....these people played hurt all of the time....sick, broken bones, sore, strained muscles, it didn't matter, man, these guys loved the game and they played every chance they got!! And pitchers used to be allowed to prove the full extent of their athleticism by staying in a game until they actually couldn't get the ball over the plate any longer.

Any one recall Willie Mays being benched so he could catch up on his sunflower seed consumption while his owies rested?

Now it's Burnett's turn to be the fall guy. That's Gardenhire's style, to point out to the press a guy to blame. Let's face it, in Gardenhire's book he has two type of players; players that can do no wrong and those who can do no right. If a player is kissie, kissie with him he has it made. Exhibit A, mr punto, who thank goodness is finally out of here. But there are many others that are untouchable. Gardenhire needs to stop playing favorites and start giving ultimatums to the whole team. I mean ALL the team. You do your job or baby you are history. Think it will ever happen? I doubt it.

While it was too bad that the ump took the bat out of Cuddyer's hands by a poor call on that 3rd strike, the team just doesn't get enough offense going most nights. And while the pitching is poor, the team gave up only 2 runs - that is enough to let your offense give you the W.
