Hey Bill Smith, way to cheap out on your pitching. Good luck making the playoffs this season. Did you forget that good pitching beats good hitting? A good pitching staff can get you through team batting slumps. At this rate, it's going to be a long summer.

the bullpen is his choice but i admire his knack for jerking a pitcher doing well and replacing him with a jerk who can't get anybody out.

What the Twins are putting on the field these days is nothing more than a minor league lineup or a few major league players who are batting somewhere around the Mendoza line.

The fault for this mess......primarily the GM who thinks his minor league players are gold, when fool's gold would be a better description and the manager who can't handle players who disagree with him and then makes terrible on field decisions. This year in particular he kind of reminds me of a certain Col. Klink from the Vikings.

Now I know how Kansas City fans must feel every year for their teams futility.

The team has nearly reached rock bottom. Stick a fork in them, they're cooked.

Well, it was fun last year. I truly feel sorry for all the wet, miserable fans who were too dejected to even boo. How rough can it get?

The Twins are the worst team in the league this year and it's not even close. -81 run differential kind of tells the story. I'm a big Twins fan and I have to give them a pass. At least they compete just about every year and have brought 2 championships in my lifetime.. a lot more than you can say for the Vikes.. who by the way are going to be terrible next year again.

Isn't that true? I hope the 100-pitch nonsense crap is making everyone happy. It loses games! It has to be the single most consistently irrational, idiotic thing I've ever seen in sports. As many writers will tell you, pitching more that 100 pitches a game never hurt anyone's career, only enhanced it. All the great pitchers in past years pitched until they just couldn't keep going....but they recovered and had nice, long careers. I read of an extra inning (16?) duel from, I think, back in the '63, in which the winner, Juan Marichal, threw 227 pitches, the loser, Warren Spahn, 201. They both lived, their arms didn't fall off, and they both had great careers.

I'am a huge Twins fan. The only positive thing about this season is that I should be able to buy tickets for really cheap by August.

I blame Cuddyer for not hitting a 6-run homer!

I hope that these pampered athletes and their crooked bosses end up with the worst record in the history of major league baseball.

What a waste of money a trip to the ballpark is; not as big as building the thing in the first place, but a poor investment for casual leisure nonetheless.

some really lousy at-bats - leaving 11 or 12 runners on base - notably Luke Hughes striking out with bases loaded. and that Hooey guy blows too. this is really bad.

Almost forgot about the Brett Favre curse that has settled over Minnesota. It is affecting not only the Vikings but all Minnesota teams.

Hoey against Bautista? Do you need anymore proof that Gardenhire can't manage a major league team???

Never deserved a new stadium to begin with. Brand new stadium with a losing team, even though they claim to generate more money now than before, the Twins keep resigning and playing scrubs, and are too afraid to make meaninful trades, while letting key guys walk in free agency. Enjoy dwelling at the bottom in your brand new stadium Twins fans.

Back when Gopher football, basketball, hockey, were all sucking as well as Wild, T-Wolves, and Vikings, we were all waiting for the Twins to dispel the agony of losing. Well lads and lassies, let the cycle begin anew: I can' wait for Gopher football and Jerry Kill!
