Indians trade INF DeRosa to Cardinals for hard-throwing RHP Perez

The Cleveland Indians have traded infielder Mark DeRosa to the St. Louis Cardinals for right-handed reliever Chris Perez and a player to be named later.

Now imagine if the Cardinals land Holliday as well. Granted his numbers are down, but it may help him coming to a better hitters park and back to the league he is very familiar with.

Mark Derosa officially became the property of the Cleveland Indians when he was traded over the winter.

The Cleveland Indians were free to trade him to the best team that could give Cleveland the best in return.

Also, I think Cubs traded Derosa because of his heart surgery. And now he's traded again. But that's just me.

I'm sticking by my original statement, which is to fire Jim Hendry. It's one thing to continually sign total cancers, like LaTroy Hawkins, Jaques Jones and Milton Bradley, but it's another altogether to unload a team guy like DeRosa, who carried this team through injuries two years in a row, to land a total bust of a player in Bradley. Can the guy even pay attention to the number of outs in the inning?

I think DeRosa going to St. Loo will be the end for Hendry.

Start dismantling the team and rebuilding for the Ryno era.

Oh, and fire Jim Hendry.

Wow, I said that last December when he got traded, I knew his heart probs have something to do with this going from team to team to team to team to team to team (world tour) in very short fashion. Cards won't keep him. I don't think the Cubs ever wanted him back.[they got that superstar Bradley].
