There's always a pitcher that seems to have the number on the opposition. This guy Pineiro definitely has the Mets number, and he deserves a lot of credit for pitching a great game, however, one could make the argument that he was helped by a decision made by that GREAT manager, Jerry Manuel, who is heading our hurting troops.
Here's the scenario;
Bottom of the 6th inning, Cards are up 1-0. Castillo had just walked to open the bottom of the inning, so there he was on first with no one out, obviously. Up comes the pitcher and... what does the GENIUS manager have him do? He puts in a hit-and-run play!!!... Unbelievable!... And so it followed that Hernandez swung and missed (what else would you expect from a pitcher?), and Castillo is thrown out at second and just like that, after the next pitch when Hernandez struck out, it's 2 outs and no one on!
Another example of the crappy coaching we have:
If you watch SNY, more than once, when it comes to Tatis, Keith Hernandez has pointed out how long his swing is this year as opposed to last year's. Pictures of batting stances from each year have even been put up. Is Howard Johnson paying attention? Does HoJo know anything about hitting, anyway?

The first night the MU TS won WITH THE SAME TEAM AND they were not DEPLEATED. Now they lose a game and they are depleted!!!
Can everybody stop msking excuses for this team? It's not like they are a successful franchise that has falleen on hard times. 99% of the time, this team stinks and is choking out! Be honest, thats why MU TS fans are so frustrated and envious of other teams,

You hate this team - I get it - fine, is your life SO empty and pathetic that you have to come here and post a million times - only when they lose?

How'd your team do - oh yeah they won, first time in 7 tries, so now you can come here and show what a douchey you are again.

Get a life - why aren't you in the Phils threads talking about how great they are?

. How dem Skankees do, 4th place coming fast. Lucky for the Skankees they do not play in the NL East, they would be neck and neck with the Nats. Cap'n Jeter aka double play ball, Aroid=A-Fraud, this is what 330 million dollars gets you. Oh
how Aroid wish cousin Uri could shoot him up in the a*rse with some Bola

Another ho hum loss. When are we going to se 2 straight wins from this club? It's numbing. Sure give credit to Pineiro, the new Mets killer (5-2 career) I remember him outpitching Pedro back in 07 when the Mets were in the midst of their choke job, throing a shutout that day. last night just dominant 2 hitter 100 pitches. Were it not for the near 1 hour rain delay, the game would have been over by 930. Lost in the shuffle was another solid performance by Livan. 7 innings 3 runs, 2 earned. But another error by a Met & then the 2 run single by Pujols (no shame there he's the best in the game) pretty much turn out the lights. Now tonight Nieve then Johan vs Carpenter manana before the Yankees series this weekend. First time in almost 5 years that both NY teams got shut out on the same day. Both by former Yankees the late Cory Lidle & the Aruban knight Sir Sidney Ponson who pitched for the Phillies & O's respectively.

Why do losers keep posting on these threads. It's getting a little worn out with the same crap over & over. YOU ARE JUST low life dirt bags looking for attention, YES YOU! They should just blame momma for not breast feeding them. Why cant anyone have an intelligent insight on anything anymore? Just a bunch of rubbish...

Bottom line, until they start to get some of their regular starters back, it is all just assumption. They are still within striking distance, unlike the other NY team who is 5 out...

Winning Streak, what's that? You won't see one until some of the regulars are back...Just hope they can stay close for now, that's all we can ask...

los mets must keep the management core of this club fully intact. Whatever monies the wilpons have left after being fleeced by bernie madoff must IMMEDIATELY be put into long term contracts for Omar and Jerry

Tatis? Tatis? Tatis?
And can't you simply adjust your swing when facing a sinkerball pitcher? Swing a little lower? Isn't that what good hitting is all about, adjustments?

Good to see your boy Choke-Roid in October form. Tied for second and fading fast. The Girardi watch officially on.. Yankeebeisbol=Curse of A-Roid, born in 2004. Hahahaha Better change your handle if the depleted Mets win the series with the Skankees.

I hope Reyes, Delgado& Beltran are home at least thinking about the hell they put their fans thru in 2007, when they basically said they did not put out there best effort every game, eventually being part of the biggest collapse in history. Maybe those bozos now realize never take anything for granted in MLB. Now your sitting home with your little injuries, the 2009 season wasting away. Actually I do not think they give a hoot as their collecting their millions for doing nothing.

Daily Horoscope for December 5

Aquarius

It's a sociable and gregarious mood my dears, so it would be a shame to keep yourself to yourself. Not that there's much likelihood of that, because with the Moon in Leo and your seventh house of others, your popularity is on the rise and you're in demand. Why not go out with your other half, or meet some friends? Get everyone together for a drink or a meal.
