These last two losses to the M's are really tough to take. Both were games the team could've won. Dickey did pitch very well in relief and at least did his part to keep the Twins in the game. I still wonder how he would do in the starting rotation. The M&M boys and Kubel had their chances.

The Twins need to beat teams like the Mariners or it is going to be a disappointing season. Is Seattle's pitching that good? If it wasn't for the other teams in the Central having problems, the Twins would be in deep trouble. Does the Metrodome really make that much difference?

Dickey has been great in relief; he's doing his job. The Twins need a long reliever like him who can come off the bench and throw a lot of innings effectively. It isn't really starting pitching that beat the Twins this series. The Twins just don't hit on the road.

What is with this team on Sunday games? I think they have only won 2 or 3 games all year on Sunday. Is it playing day games that brings out the worst in them. You can almost tell from the 1st inning that they are not going to have their A-game. If there road record does not improve really soon, they will soon be out of contention.

Sunday comes after Saturday night. Ask Hrbek what that means.

So Slowey gave up a few dingers..........what Twins pitcher doesn't? Our offense has fallen asleep again. We have no depth. If the big three or four don't do the job, we're done.

But, we still have Cuddy striking out, going after crappy pitches out of the strike zone. I forget his excuse this week.

Why is it that nobodies who only hit a few homers a season always hit them off our pitchers?

Agreed, but we can't have them always completely carry the team. Where's the rest? We have no offensive depth, period. Our pitching isn't great, but we have to provide some support. Our mediocre pitching staff can't hold teams to a few runs every game.

We're having a tough time against left handed pitching. That and our track record this season with runners in scoring position is horrible. See the ball, hit the ball.

Oakland is loaded with lefty pitching--three of the four starters the Twins will face.

Our hitters shouldn't be paying attention to Scott Ullger. He confuses
them as he hasn't a clue what the next pitch will be. Let 'em decide
for themselves at the plate.

You need to check Burkes actual records over the past several years. He is not a .077 hitter, his 7 years are a 176 games with an avg. of 295
