Billy Smith admits another mistake. When will he broom the coaching staff?

don't think smith was admitting to a mistake, I think he was trying to sneak Breslow through waivers and made a mistake.

Breslow never got enough of a shot this season, nothing like the consideration Crain and Guerrier have been given. Guerrier choked completely last season when the Twins were desperate for relief pitching and he was supposed to be the guy to step up and do the job. Breslow was one of the few guys last year who pitched well down the stretch. He'll do okay somewhere else. It's probably true that the Twins were hoping no one would grab him. Breslow seems like a good guy with his work in the area of charities for cancer research. Good luck to him.

Guerrier is pitching better this season, but he's nothing extraordinary. We keep waiting for Crain to get his act together. With the two AAA guys up, let's hope that the season doesn't turn into an extended spring training for next season. Let's hope these guys are ready for the big time and that they can help the Twins win.

What if the Twins put their entire bullpen on waivers? The way they've been letting down the starters recently, it might not be such a poor deal. What's Anderson up to with this bunch?

just the start of what probably will be first of many bullpen changes

this team just isn't good enough to compete even in a terrible division

Glad that Perkins is not seriously injured. I would have liked to see Dickey get a couple of starts since he seems to be pitching well and knucklers make for better starters than relievers (although emergency long relief too). But, the Twins staff must suspect soemthing from Swarzak and want to test him out - see how fast the 'fast-track' is on him.

The starting pitching staff is looking like a whole group of #4-5 type starters - they kind that you hope pitches fairly well while the top part of your rotation takes care of the real business. Of what this team could've done with Santana as the ace of the staff - but alas, the MLB system is geared towards teams like the Twins developing players that they can never compete to sign with the likes of the Mets, et al.
