no comment from Cuddy?
I'll comment for ya Cudd! Cudd is having a crap season and not worth his salary. Valencia is playing great and making the league minimum.
Trading Cuddy so we can resign Crain and Matty G. is starting to become more obvious by the day (assuming we can find someone to chew the Cudd.)

As a Senator/Twins fan since 1957, I dont want to jinx our guys by congratulating them to soon, but a magic number of 5 with 14 games to go looks awfully sweet. Relying on a well-organized farm system to produce players like Danny Valencia certainly looks like a superior strategy for producing continuous success than picking up over-the-hill superstars and expecting them to produce like they did 5 or 10 years ago. We were fortunate this year. We signed good players who werent over-priced before the season started instead of the usual herd of factory rejects and broken down plugs who gave out by mid-season. Also the policy of protecting our pitchers arms by not over-using them and resting them whenever possible paid off. In contrast, Ozzie burned out his starters by the first of September and had only a cardboard bullpen to back them up. We still dont have a superstar starter, but our resident pitchers are doing the job, backed by the deepest bullpen in baseball. I dont know if we are good enougj to beat the Yankees or Rays, but theres no point in complaining about utter failure before the games are even played.

Why is it even mentioned that he is confident. If you do not have confidence, you could not go out there everyday and play in front of thousands of people and who knows how many watching on TV. All these athletes have confidence. I think because Danny stands out and has a great personality is why he is always being put under a microscope. Enjoy him and stop looking to put him down. He has done great and with the better coaching in the majors, I think he will continue to do even better. Go Twins!

Didn't really care for Gardenhire's statement of you really don't want to move him, shows he was thinking of it and everybody knows it was when LNP came back, but didn't dare due to fan reaction. Valencia didn't give him a chance either to the way he has been playing. Mark my words it was in Gardenhires mind. One slip up and LNP would have been there. It was kind of odd to see a pitcher go over 120 pitches to pitch a complete game for Detriot yesterday.
