To the big gee, I agree 1000% and then some. THE YANKEES ARE DEAD, DUH YANKEEEEEES ARE DEADDDDDDDDD!!!! I love it that Detroit Rock City beat up those Bronx Bastards of the Anti-Christ. A-Rod can now go on and hang out with his Mafia buddies & play in those illegal poker game where there is more coke than at Studio 54 in 1977. Derek Jeter was so distraught that he told his girlfriend Anderson Cooper "NOT 2NIGHT DEAR, I HAVE A HEAD AND ASS ACHE". Joe Gerardi can go now hangout with his White Trash buddy Hank Williams Jr. and drink some moonshine and have sex with his cousin. CC Sabathia aka Octopitcher can now induce labor. FYI, The Stankees will NOT recover so quickly from this loss as the Red Sox Nation will still be tough, the Blue Jays are building something in Canada, the Rays NEVER go away and the Orioles are always overachieving and then some. I can see it now: The Mets will get better in 2012 with their young pitching etc and we can take over New York once again like they did in 1969, 1986 and 2006. I heard that A-Bum and Jeter Swallows are gonna be spokesgirls for LIFE ALERT as the Evil Empire has fallen & can't get up. LETS GO METS 24/7 and as for the Steinbrenners? They will be more dead than Amy Winehouse. LOL

I'm a lifelong fan, and will always love and respect what Jeter, Rivera, and Posada did for this team. But some of these other guys?

ARod: Is a man who batted a deuce-seventy in 2011 worth 173 million dollars? Give me a Graig Nettles or Scott Brosius ANY DAY.
Burnett: Is a man who's ERA ballooned to over 10 one month before season's end worth 83 million?
Hughes: Has this guy made a meaningful contribution?
Joba: Lost a lot his last year healthy, and missed the season... we're supposed to think this guy's coming back stronger?
Girardi: Some good things, some bad things. He's no Torre. My suggestion? Someone named Francona is available.
Cashman: Can't blame the guy for Rodriguez ( he was overruled when he didn't think he was worth the money ), but how many used up, broken down pitchers have we signed since 1996? TOO MANY.
Swisher: Does this guy make the majors on ability, or because, like so many others, his DADDY played in MLB? I think the influence is pervasive in MLB, and it's friggin wrong.
Brett Gardner: A keeper, but, CAN THIS GUY BUNT AND READ A PITCHER'S MOVE? Hasn't shown it yet.
Nunez: This is supposed to be the heir apparent to Derek Jeter? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
Granderson: A keeper.
Martin: They're high on him, and I like him, but I have to be honest, I like Cervelli ( a GAMER), who is clutch when needed.
Romine: Don't need him.
Montero: A keeper.
Soriano: great middle reliever.
Sabathia: A keeper who needs to drop about 40 pounds, but we need an ace the equivalent of a Verlander, Halladay, or Lee, and he ain't it.
Robertson: Our next closer.

I'm pissed. And tired of waiting for my team to capitalize on all the money they're spending.

Pin it on Girardi. The Yankees were great leading up to the last game of the season and they had a chance to keep Tampa Bay out of the playoffs. He refused to use Rivera to close them out.
I believe it is all in the psychology to keep pounding with your best players until the season is over, and it SHOULD have been over for Tampa Bay and the Yanks lost an edge heading into the Detroit series.

Girardi is consistently guilty of trying to be too smart by half.

When the Stankees lost to Detroit; many of the lesbian Stankee fans were so devestated that they shaved their legs, put on makeup, destroyed their Indigo Girls CDS and went to TJ Maxx to buy dresses. LOL. Btw, all of you BET bandwagon Moulan Yam Stankee phonies can take off your garbage Stankee caps and put on whatever bandwagon team you're pulling for this week. Plus all of those 70 yr old Bronx Guidos I gotta deliver this message to ya: MICKEY MANTLE WAS NO HERO OR SUPERMAN. HE WAS NOTHING MORE THAN THE CHARLIE SHEEN OF THE 1950'S; THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE MICK AND MR. TIGER BLOOD IS THAT THE PRESS KEPT THINGS QUIET IN THE 50'S. Btw, the Stankee dynasty is DEAD!!!!! In 2012, the Mets will be in the post season and the Bronx Anti-Christ will be lucky to finish .500 Thank you and please when you try to kill yourself like Kurt Cobain, don't stain the carpet or whatever alley you're at. LETS GO METS!!!!!!

To the Last Templar: In the immortal words of Trip from "DETROIT ROCK CITY": Just like disco, you need to blow a dog for quarters man. THIS JUST IN: Mgr. Joe Gerardi was seen at an NRA meeting with those 2 sleazy rednecks Don Imus & Hank Williams Jr. i guess losing to the Tigers has gotten to that jackass Gerardi who looks like a Tea Party gun toting SOB!!!!!! And we all know why A-Rod tanked at the plate: He took his usual dive for his Poker Playing Coke Dealing Mafia buds JOHNNY ROAST BEEF AND JIMMY BAG O' DONUTS!!! You would never see David Wright do anything sleazy because he's a 100% POSITIVE ROLE MODEL FOR BASEBALL & FOR THE YOUTH OF NEW YORK, PLUS HIS DAD IS A COP IN VIRGINIA AND HE WOULD GIVE DAVID THE BEATING FOR ALL TIME IF HE EVER STEPPED OUT OF LINE. I heard A-Rod's dad was a Card Shark, a moocher, a Country Club Golf Hustler just like James Woods in "CASINO". LOL LETS GO METS!!!!!!

Hey Last Templar; I'm surprised that you can even spell civility since you probably dropped out of high school. Being a METS fan builds character and we have integrity but rooting for the Yankees is like rooting for the sex offender from "Dateline NBC". LETS GO METS IN 2012 AND BEYOND!!!!
