The Yankee organization has always preferred vets over their minor league personnel.

This has generally worked because those vets were usually bench players or DH's.

AS for this year I believe they will not call up many youngsters as long as they are in the hunt.

The problem lies in management,s feeble attempts to appear competitive for this year to justify their alleged cap concerns, ergo vets!

This is an old team with over rated name players and no legitimate prospects ready to step in.

I still maintain they are prepping their fans and their wallets for the sale of the team to News Corp.
