i still think Texiera was worth the look. i dont want to see them commit to too many pitchers. much rather AJ over Lowe. i'd take a pass on Lowe and wait for halliday to become available. commit too much $ and they wont be able to make a reasonable run at Halliday when the time comes.

Instead of Burnett or Lowe, why not take a run at Oliver Perez? He pitched very well against the yankees, he is only 28 years old and would come cheaper than either the oft injured Burnett or the old Lowe? Then if you get him, the entire starting rotation could be under 28.

What the ef has happened to this site. It is a chaotic, sloppy mess that never works right. Could it be more of the Dolan's magic touch?

The Yankees should have traded for Mike Jacobs from the marlins. 32hr's and 93 rbi's in the toughest park for longballs. What a job he weould done in yankee stadium.

I still wish he would have declined the offer so they would go after Tex.

I don't believe they are out of the TEX sweepstakes. 23M for CC, 17M for Lowe,
20M for Tex, and the payroll is still 26 M BELOW last years!

Just heard the Nationals and Orioles are offering 20million plus for 10yrs. If this is true neither the sox or the Yanks are touching that. Hope he goes to the Nationals and steals a couples wins for them in that rough and tough NL east.

You know, while 20M for 10 (200 M) seems like a lot of money, in a few years that could be a bargain. He's young, and great both offensively and defensively. Plus, the Yanks are still about 56M under last years salary. Imagine how many more games we would have won last year if we had Tex rather than Giambi at first. He has the range to play first base, he can throw, and he is a very good switch hitter. Seems like a no brainer to me.

Samebody is already seeing tragedy?; another Car Pavano?
Who knows; for any reason the Indians trade this guy to a NL Team and he wanted to stay in the NL.
Sabathia won't be the 1st Yankees player that would like to play for another Team.,; The Yankees is staring to look like av team where the plauyers don't want to play for them.,; I think only H;OMO CAPTAIN is the only one who wants to play for the Yankees
