THIS IS NOT A MEDICAL ISSUE. This is a suspension meted out by MLB after meeting a week or two ago, shrouded in a medical condition. MLB wants to publically slap him on the wrist, but still get the point across by handing out a suspension.

A suspension with pay? At his salary, he'll make more in those 6-9 weeks for doing nothing than most people will see in a life time of working.

Some punishment, eh?

His "hard" swing has nothing to do with this.(How many players in the history of MLB have torn their hip labrum? Try zero.) This is either from steroids or it is a covert suspension.

Carlos Quentin had a torn left labrum and Tommy John surgery. Almost unheard of for non pitchers until ARod. HMMMM

Don't know about the "history of MLB" but last year the Red Sox Mike Lowell went down with same injury.Who know's if it is steroid related, never heard Lowells name come up in steroid talk, so my guess its just a freak injury poorly timed for Arod.
I don't buy the Selig from the grassy knoll theory either.

don't know what's going on with A-Roid, whether its torn hip labrum, steroid use, covert suspension, std from Madonna, or because of all of the recent attention, he has a serious case of stage fright. all i know is this seriously screws up the 1st round for millions of fantasy baseball owners, especially retention leagues. lovin it. also hopefuuly Yankees will fall to 4th or maybe even 5th. Baltimore is improving.

In relation to this, please know that hip surgeries could be fatal to one’s health if defective hip devices are used. DePuy hip replacement device is example of a defective medical product. It extreme cases, these hip devices may completely fail which will result in a more severe health complication. Additional input here: http://www.hiprecalllaw.com/updates/depuy-hip... .

We'll just hope that his case can't be bad as it was, check http://www.depuyrecallnewscenter.com/depuy-as... for more information.

I heard that A-Bum might miss the 2013 season due to his steroid laden hip surgery. Lets just say I have a better chance of winding up in a hot tub with Love Majewski ("Mob Wives") and her mom Lorraine than A-Bum getting elected to Cooperstown by the BBWAA. A-Bum is gonna wind up like the pro wrestler Dynamite Kid in a wheelchair at age 50 and it's ironic that A-Bum's galpal is Torrie Wilson (who like the Kid was an employee of Vince McMahon). LETS GO METS!!!!

There is now this story about a HGH doctor in South Florida who is buddy-buddy w/ A-Bum!!!! I can see it now: The doctor and A-Rod get convicted and then wind up in the slammer where a bunch of Crips, Bloods, Latin Kings, Skinheads and Bubbas make A-Bum and that doctor play Greenwich Village dressup in the shower. In the words of Nelson Muntz: HAW HAW!!! Meanwhile David Wright (A TRUE ROLE MODEL)leads the Mets to the 2013 World Series over either the Tigers or Angels while the Stankees finish DEAD LAST in the AL East and A-Bum just like Manti T'eo & Lance Armstrong wind up being big time has beens. LETS GO METS!!!!

Found out that the doctor who gave A-Roid his HGH stuff is a Mets fan so lets give the doc a slap on the wrist and lets give A-Roid a big piece of advice: DON'T DROP THE SOAP!!!! LOL AND LETS GO METS AND SHOCK THE WORLD IN 2013!!!!!
