Stanton looks like a deer in headlights when he strikes out, you will not get a team stupid enough to take his contract, misses to many pitches , not clutch at all big mistake by Cashman along with Gray coming to NY, Cashman cannot get a pitching staff to overpower other teams , he has to let Rothschild loose, to many mistakes by talented people.

Nunzio is 100 percent right. We are stuck with Stanton. Unless he changes his batting stance he is going to be a strike out king. Rotchchild is a awful pitching coach. He cant help anybody.

Agreed, we’re stuck with him, however, he has talent & now that he’s acclimated to NY maybe, hopefully he can sustain consistent production next year and thereafter...

Really? Just like that. Who is going to pick up Stanton’s salary who has a first baseman to trade? Give us a hint of a well thought out proposal.

Cash has made a lot of good moves but this, in hindsight, was not one of them and appears to have been an overreaction to Red Sox moves.

Too much money and too long a contract.

They talk about stats, but what they dont talk about is the player someone you can look up to in clutch situations .Players like Jeter,JD Martinez, Paul O'Neill. So far Stanton is not in that league.

He will be better this year. But he is NOT the problem We need two top of the line pitchers and a pitching coach that knows something. They talk about how goodbBoone iand Rothchild are but both could not understand that the Yankee ACE we tipping his pitchers

George would have fired both

I Good point. Many announcers like Coney and Smoltz said he was tipping his pitches. Larry did and saw nothing.

The only possible trade for Stanton is with the dodgers . He’s from there and wouldn’t like to go back home and the dodgers had expressed interest in him. The yanks won’t get a first baseman back but they will get something back that they may be able to use as trade bait and if hey don’t we won’t miss Stanton especially that if Stanton goes Harper comes to ny
