Anybody remeber the last time The Red Sox won a championship, Manny and Pig Papi were doing steroids and playing cowboy up for them..Then Theo traded Manny and they never won another championship, just as simple as that.....

I seriously doubt Arod gets offered a deal. I think the league is going to HAMMER him.

Sox and 3rd best Second baseman in the AL agree on an extension.

Red Sox, Pedroia Agree On Extension
By Zach Links [July 23, 2013 at 12:30pm CST]
The Red Sox and Dustin Pedroia have agreed in principle on an extension worth approximately $100MM over seven years, tweets Rob Bradford of WEEI. The new contract is set to start in the 2015 season and run through 2021 and also includes no-trade protection (link).

Prior to this agreement, Pedroia was on a contract that paid him $10MM in 2013 and 2014 with a team-friendly club option for $11MM in 2015. The fresh contract will start after Pedroia's final guaranteed year under the previous deal, which was signed in December 2008.

We learned late last week that the Red Sox had begun talks with the soon-to-be 30-year-old on an extension. It's possible that the Red Sox were motivated by Robinson Cano's impending free agency to lock up their own standout second baseman. A colossal deal for the Yankees star would ostensibly raise the bar for players at that position.

Pedoid Stats:
Home AB 188,H85,2B17,3B1,HR4,RBI31,BB3 0,SO21,BA.351,SLG.516,OBP.436
Away AB 205,H66,2B8,3B0,HR2,RBI26,BB21 ,SO29,BA.268.SLG.337,OBP.336

Certainly Pedroid is a Better player in the little boys park called Fenway Park...Another interesting stat is his BA vs ALE teams Balt .182, NNY .282, TB .227, Tor .389...

Did you see cano's stats at fenway? Espn showed it over 330. Imagine a whole year there. A good fly ball to left is a double or single. Right field corner is 305 feet. Softball dimensions.

Cano has always hit well at fenway with his power and bat speed might hit .400...Unlike pedroid who's stats are always propped up by his 81 games in the little boys park Robbie can hit in any ballpark...Nobody in the lineup in back of him and Robbie still has better stats then anyone on the sox....

Look at you clowns making fools of yourselves. Just listing which 2Bman hits the most HRs.

Youre idiots. You ignore more half the game: defense, baserunning, plate disclipline, leadership ...the list goes on and on and Cano leads none of them. But you'll see Pedys name at the top of all bar HRs...and thats all you clowns look at

Just took a look at Cano's stats at Fenway:
BA .340, G75,AB 303,H 103,2B 30,HR 12,RBI's 59, OBP .384, SLG .564
What a career he'd have playing 81 games a year in the little boys park called Fenway...You
