MIN staff ERA of 4.43 isn't going to hold many teams from scoring runs. Ichiro seems to be seeing the ball better at the plate. HR Hughes actually went through a game without give 1 up. If he can be moved for a bat to the NL, seriously should be considered as long as the cost is reasonable...

hughes just might fit in a team out west with a big park...joba? who knows...but those should be the 2 sent packing.

I noticed 2 teams trading for international money as parts of deals...smart move and maybe yanks can at least get that in part of any deal.

<quoted text> football yup..did you see this "It's still labeled a dynasty in a lot of corners, but that label is now long in the tooth in Foxborough. Not only was New England's last Super Bowl win during the 2004 season but Belichick's team is just 8-7 in the playoffs sincethen including an unsightly three postseason losses at home, all in the past four years. Even more outdated is Belichick's reputation as a defensive genius. Despite a lineup of high choices hand-picked by their con-trol-freak head coach, Belichick's defenses ranked a dismal 25th, 31st and 25th in the NFL in total yards the past three seasons. What has largely kept the pats "dynasty" tag afloat has been the inability of the jets, dolphins or bills to mount any consistent threat to the pats stranglehold on the division..
I opened the page to this old one...

Are you really this fuckinstupid? Pats over the past 10 years are 126-34 ...that means 60 divisional games. So even if they break in the AFC even how do you explain the OTHER 100 VICTORIES...against NON DIVISION OPPONANTS?

Your Giants are 87-73 over the same time frame...

Fuckwit they play 10 more games per season against the rest of the league than they do against the 6 in their own division.

Problem is theyre going nowhere no matter how good taking 2 on the Twins feels after a sweep.

And if you don't break up the team early... you get no value. Look at the Cubs....theyre restocking the entire farm in one hit.

uh ohhhhh.....

After the game Joe Girardi told reporters that the Yankees sent Hiroki Kuroda back to New York to get a MRI on his hip flexor. The MRI came back clean, but Ivan Nova will take his turn in the rotation on Friday.

Whats that old Violent Femmes song? Good Feeling?

Good feeling
won't you stay with me just a little longer
it always seems like your leaving
when I need you here just a little longer
dear lady there's so many things
that I have come to fear
little voice says I'm going crazy
to see all my worlds disappear
vague sketch of a fantasy
laughing at the sunrise
like he's been up all night
ooo slippin and slidin
what a good time but now
have have to find a bed
that can take this wait
good feeing
won't you say stay with me just a little longer
it always seems like your leaving
when I know the other one
just a little too well
oh dear lady
won't you stay with me just a little longer
y'know it always seems like your leaving
when I need you here just a little longer

Alex Rodriguez, batting second for the Charleston RiverDogs tonight, was 0-2 after hitting into a double play in his first at bat and striking out looking in his second at bat.

one down 19 to go...so they say...my guess is he 'moves ahead of schedule'

0-2 isn't that bad...

But two bunts were hit in Arod's direction while he was playing third base and both resulted in infield singles

that is.

So the A-Rod statue playing 3rd base is getting schooled by AA players...Hoki Croki but not Broki....Alberto finally is AlbertGO..a good Hughes..Joba's got a foot out the door...Cashman did nothing on the IFA market other than watch the top picks sign elsewhere...target Willyham goes DL...Cano finally pulls a bat out... Twins give Mariano a rocking chair...and Ronnie Mouskateer might finally be fat enough to make the big team roster...

WOW big day...tomorrows another day...against the Twins..whoooopie

Wow, the Homer Bailey No Hitter was talked about on ESPN radio for about 5 minutes this morning. Then they went right back to the NBA. I need somebody to tell me why basketball is suddenly the only thing sportstalk radio discusses.

Start a four game series with the twins winning the first two, not bad while the Red Sox play the padres at home..now that should get a couple of woopies for sure.

Cano with nothing in the lineup to back him up is having a great All star season..Simply the best 2nd baseman in baseball...

Depends what's being offered for HR Hughes. Don't see Hal expanding payroll any more than he has. Still say NYY should keep Joba for the setup role come 2014...

Interesting decision to trade for IFA slots. Always a crap shoot with IFA's. Never know who or what a teams is buying...
