Did anyone notice Hanley not running hard to first when he grounded into the double play? That's just despicable, he should have beat that softly hit ball easily. Fredi needs to have a talk

Fredi will have an excuse for Hanley, he has a sore groin or whatever. The bottom line is, if he is not healthy enough to play, then he sits.

Does anyone think Coghlin will get a chance to play one of his natural infield positions, especially now that De Aza has returned in the outfield? With Cody, Herm, Cogs, DeAza and Carroll, aren't we a little heavy in the outfield?

I was at the game tonight and between Hanley's error in the field, Bonafacio's error in the field, Hanley not running hard at all and in general showing no plate discipline and Fredi G. allowing a pitcher to throw 12 straight balls when he should have yanked Penn after the 2nd walk at the very latest, this team is amazingly mismanaged and disorganized...Fredi must go and a hard line disciplinarian must come into town...

Not surprised to see the Marlins lose yet again, although, they "might" be improving.

what a shame it was to see Penn continuously walk hitters. Where is Fredi? Why do we have to sit and see him do things like this on a regular basis.
This team lives on emotion and when the players see bonehead manuvers like this it effects them.
Aside from that the Marlins showed some spirit in coming back.
Man that pitch by Hoffman to strike out Hermida was as wicked as I have seen.

You don't need a wicked pitch to strike Herms out. He's a stiff.

"Sometimes those errors we have are long innings," Gonzalez said. "You're sitting there playing defense in long innings and long innings and long innings, and it's hard to get locked in."

Of course, if the bases are loaded, and 12 straight BALLS are thrown, including to the PITCHER, that will lead to long innings as the players FALL ASLEEP waiting for Fredi to finally remove the Jorge Julio impression that was Hayden Penn.

Of course, perhaps Penn did that on purpose to get OUT of this car accident.

And probably demoralized...it must be hard to play enthusiastically in front of a sea of orange empty seats every night.

FREDI MUST GO! What a DISGRACE that loss was! After Penn walked the first two guys, he should have been OUT OF THERE! And Bonifacio continues to pile up the errors at 3rd base!

I have watched 1000's of baseball games and have never seen a more mis-managed inning then the 5th. Leaving Penn in the game after he walked 3 runs in and only removing him after he fell behind yet another batter.

Amazingly, Fredi topped himself in the bottom of the inning allowing a relief pitcher to hit with the bases loaded---dumbest thing I have ever seen. I am sure his excuse was that he was trying to "save" his bullpen. Bullcrap. You have a chance to get back into a game--you take it. Not to mention that you have your two best starters pitching in the next two games. The fact that Sanchez managed to luck out and get an infield hit is irrelevant.

Verdict Fredi needs to be on double secret probation (he will never be fired because this regime will not pay 2 manager salaries).

Let EVERYONE KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF FREDI AND HIS MANAGING! There is a FAN's MESSAGE BOARD DURING EVERY GAME and the people that post there claiming to be Marlins fans are IDIOTS.

The bouncy boys in rhythm are back. Fredi and Wiles like two humpty dumpties sitting there bouncing their legs . Why didn't Fredi get off his ass and go out to the pitcher himself? Maybe it would have gave the pitcher some confidence. Cody sits on the bench after hitting the cover off the ball. Why doesn't he rest Hermida instead? How can they win when one half the problem is Fredi and his crew?

Racketman, I was at the game last night as mentioned above and also have seen 1000's of games and never thought I'd see a game where BOTH managers let their pitchers hit with the bases loaded! Fredi's choice was ridiculous - try to get the runs when you're behind!

I was watching the Florida team that seems to care so I missed this train wreck! As I said before, I am now a Rays fan (Come On over)! It sounds as If I made the correct decision to stop watching untill Fredi the Freeloader is gone! Sounds as if he is still doing his nothing thing! Its sad!

Somehow it worked out when the pitcher got on via error and got an RBI. What I don't understand is how the Marlins keep announcing "crowds" of 10,000 when no more than 2,000 are there. Maybe they are including the TV audience?

The whole Penn disaster has become a calling card of sorts for Freddi's tenure as Marlins manager. Completely screwing the pooch as a decision maker. Letting Penn pitch at all after the 9th in the previous game, Sanches hitting for himself, pinch hitting Caroll against a righty with a much more experienced Gload (also a lefty) sitting on the bench. If you're gonna use a righty in that situation why not use Helms? Just stupid. Overmatched!!!!!! Does the guy even have a grasp on his own teams capabilities or limitations? NO! Frustrating. Also why is Bonifacio in the lineup at all let alone batting 2nd? The guy could not be less of a #2 hitter. With his speed he should be playing left and Cogulan(sp?) at 3rd. If your gonna experiment why do it at 2 postions? Again just plain stupid. Get rid of him.
