Doc is the only thing the Yankees will have to worry about in the WS.

Yankees in 6.

Like taking candy from a baby - only easier.

I think the Mets also beat the Yankees during the regular season. So did KC.

So what?

Are you equating a regular season game to the World Series?

I am a die hard Cardinals fan but I have to commend the Phillies staff for playing so hard in the last game of the season. THey could have very easily given up and said the hell with it they didnt have anything to prove but they showed the world that they care about the integrity of this game and you fight to the finish. If anything happens to the cardinals I will be rooting for the phillies for sure.

Yankees are up on Tigers, 4-1 right now, and they NEED this or the WS is just a dream and a "wait until next year" like everyone else. Texas is in the wings waiting and there is no means a walk-thru either. I'd say the Yankees have a tough road just to get to the WS, but I don't know if any NL team left has enough pitching to hold off any AL team right now, Phillies has a strong stable, but you never know if they will be tough or fold up. And a regular season game means nothing right now, Rays came into the playoffs as the hottest team playing at the end, but that has already gone by the wayside.

AJ comes up big - like he did in game 2 of the '09 WS.

Still gotta win 1 more to get to the ALCS. Rays surge was sort of misleading - remember Girardi refused to use Sory or Mo. Would have liked to have seen a 1 game playoff for the WC between the Rays and Suxx.

That was '09 and this is now, but he did have a good game. And I'm glad the Rays are out, wouldn't it be tough if they beat the Yanks out for the AL series after they laid back at the end of the season. Hmmmm...think they "held back" just to keep the Soxs out? Nawwww...the Sox folded like a cheap lawnchair about the middle of September unfortunately. Talk about emotions though, 1 strike away and lost and 5 minutes later out of the playoffs...only a Sox fan could handle such misfortune.
