500 sounds good wrote: So far, John Danks has been very lucky and much worse than his numbers may reflect. His 4-4 record and 5.10 ERA are really very fortunate considering the amount of baserunners he allows, 1.55 WHIP. While most expected a significant drop off this year due to the abuse his arm endured in 08, the early numbers strongly suggest that the worst has yet to come. This may in part explain the bizarre move by Kenny Williams this week in bringing up a highly touted player to play 3rd base with a grand total of 6 games of minor league experience at that position. Maybe Kenny has already seen what Ozzie clearly stated would have to happen to motivate the move. I'm now replacing Floyd with Danks along with Quentin as high-stock players that should be traded now... Danks is the most disappointing of all of them. He's nothing but a thrower.

Joe wrote: Walker has gotta go. I've been writing that for much of last three seasons & Sox continue to struggle offensively. Don't blame Walker totally but its his department & that department is the weakest one in baseball.Sox need a kick start & maybe firing the coach will get to them? Agree with at least one post in reference to Walker. Did you ever explain for us what exactly Walker does wrong while teaching these Sox hitters? Clearly, you must be in on some of these sessions.

Remembering 500 wrote: <quoted text> I disagree, 3/4 of the fanbase believe Greg Walker is the reason this team sucks while simultaneously believing that Kenny knows what he's doing, I say they are getting exactly what they deserve. A team loaded with all or nothing hitters, a team loaded with below average defensive players, one of the worst farm systems in existence, again. This is 100% on Kenny Williams. You could bring in the greatest hitting coaches in the history of hitting, and he/they won't be able to make these guys learn how to be something they are not and never have been, contact hitters. High strikeouts don't matter, defense doesn't matter, contact doesn't matter, home runs sell tickets. The Kenny Williams credo..... Only 3/4 of geeks that never played feel Walker is the problem... All baseball people and most knowledgeable fans know Walker is not the problem.

DLT wrote: I agree with the one post, it might be time to clean house. Teams that are contenders for the world series will give up the long term for right now. Konerko, Thome, Dye, AJ, and some others would bring some pretty good young players to the Sox. I also believe they should clean house starting with Guillen, I really believe no matter what some of the players say to the press that they are really tired of Guillen and his antics. If you've ever been on the Sox's clubhouse as I have, you'd quickly feel that you are wrong about Guillen.

That would be one helluva geekfest I'd love to see covered on TV. I got you figured out...you were the geeky kid in HS that got shoved into the locker/jockstrap put onto his head and was in audio/visual. You always wanted to try out for the baseball team but you lacked the confidence to show up. Fast Forward 30 years and the internet is around so you have a way to act tough through a computer.....call anybody and everybody out that you want, and even "challenge" them to fights (very mature BTW). It somehow boosts your deflated ego and low self-esteem. Now go get your shine-box and leave us adults alone. A more appropriate website for you is www.revengeofthenerds.com

If you'd read a bit closer, you'd see that I got CALLED OUT. I'll show up. I just want to see what some of you geeks are like. It's probably a good laugh.
