Nice job to get the sweep, good offense, good pitching. However, it was the Indians, three game series in Detroit will be a big one followed by the Sox.

"... but what can you do?"

- Lou P.

Just once I'd like a reporter to grab Lou by the lapels and yell, "YOU CAN ACT LIKE A MAN!" like Marlon Brando did in The Godfather.

Hopefully the offense is finally rumbling to life. Congratulation to Randy Wells on what should have been about his fourth or fifth win.1

The last time I checked, the Indians are a major League team with major league players on the roster. Do not down play a victory, because you do not think the opponent is that good.

All I have to say is PLEASE let it be Soriano he rests. Knowing Lou, he will use some twisted "strategery" to decide to put Bradly, the guy with the 10 game hitting streak, on the bench.

In no way shape or form am i downplaying the victory, the cubs don't make the schedule, they just play who they're supposed to. And to be a good team you have to beat the bad teams.

Did some people get overserved on Fathers Day? Some of these posts are truly over the moon.

Two of these people ought to be carefully watched before they hurt themselves.

Anyhow, glad that the Cubs are finally playing well. Hope it continues.

And big kudos to Von Joshua...so far, so very good!!

D. Lee is leading this team now. Cubs need to win 16 of the next 20 games. Dempster needs to get back on track. Lilly should be the team's All-Star. Wells should be 3-1 instead of 1-3.
Fox is a great hitter, but will be a big chip for a trade with an American league team. Brian Roberts, we have an opening at second base for you.
Pedro's agent should tell Pedro, "Chicago is beautiful during the summer". It is over 100 degrees in Tampa right now
Kevin Hart - welcome back.
Angel Guzman - make sure there are plenty of towels for Soriano in the dugout.
Von Joshua - what are you doing different than what Gerald Perry was doing?
Ali looked great at the Reds-Sox game.
Hank Aarron looked like he ate a bus.
Kerry Wood making $20 million for two years. Overpriced.
Anyone see that Iranian girl named Neda, dying on the streets on CNN? Got shot in the chest, her father held her when she bleed to death. Hopefully, the good Iranians will overthrow the bad Iranians. Or watch the Jews blow the entire country apart by August.
What did that have to do with the Cubs? I saw many bad Iranians having baseball bats, beating people. Did anyone see any ballparks over there? I know thre are some great rock throwers in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip who could be on the Cubs pitching staff.
Yankees C.C. has arm troubles.
LaRussa has 2500 wins. And one DUI.
Pujols is the best player in MLB.
Baseball should not be in Florida at all. No one shows up.
Any news from Phil Rogers of Manny coming to the Cubs?
A-Rod is knocking up actress Kate Hudson. What a s-l-u-t !
White Sox won.
John Smoltz pitches this Thursday for Boston.
Did anyone see how hot Sean Marshall's girlfriend looks? And he is only making around $500,000. Can you imagine who Marshall will be with if he was making millions? Maybe Kate Hudson!
Why in the world do you think we need to trade Jake Fox for Brian Roberts. This Roberts issue has been dead, buried and forgotten for a long time. Why are you bringing this up? I do not believe many people torture themselves by watching CNN, so very few probably saw what you saw. Leave kate Hudson alone You should be ashamed of your self for making those comments about her.

Resting Soriano and Fontenot on occasion to keep Fox sharp at the plate seems reasonable as long as his defense does not become a liability. The same goes for Hoff, as he has some amazing "pauir" in his bat. He could give Lee an occasional rest at 1B also for the same reason.

I hope Randy was kidding about his dad not watching, I can't imagine a father missing a single pitch of his son's Major League career - especially as a rookie going for his first win.

I tried to find out something about Mark Mulder, but I am unable to find much. This is the best I can tell. Mulder is a free agent and no one has signed him. I think he still has shoulder problems.
