Report: Hudson leaving Braves

Having been on the mend, is Tim Hudson now on the wing? Here's a a bit of a surprise: Citing "major-league sources," Ken Rosenthal of FoxSports.com reports Tim Hudson will decline his option to re-up with the Braves and will become a free agent instead.

It would be true-to-form for the Braves, though. The Braves give huge contracts to pitchers, and we watch them play graba$$ in the dugout for years after injuries keep them from pitching.

Remember Mike Hampton? And John Smoltz? He (Smoltz) would pitch a year, be out a year, pitch a year, be out a year. Best thing he ever did was become a closer.

Why izzit other teams have pitchers that go 7 or 8 innings, and we get guys that get hurt?
