"As far as what kind of shoes he was wearing"? This is part of Minaya's response? Now I can see how easy it must of been for Madoff to rip off Wilpon. Simply clueless. What a feakin' joke!

Bernazard is a problem on this team. There have been too many reports of his meddling to think otherwise.

Wow. You can't make this stuff up. Minaya's response is, per usual, hilarious and pathetic. Can we please get rid of these clowns? Thank you.

If this story has veracity, Bernazard should be immediately fired. The Mets are a dysfunctional operation on all counts from ownership on down.

I hope the Coupons see the light with this joker. Tony Bernazard is a major league loser like Omar is. At least if these guys are gone, maybe we'll get new personnel that know what the hell they're doing. Now does Willie look like the good guy here?

When I heard an audio clip of Bernazard's tirade this morning on WFAN I thought it was a joke. Now, in seeing Minaya's response I realize that the joke is on us.

The Mets are laughingstocks, Bernazard is a clown and Minaya is playing us all for fools. Both should be fired immediately for this incident alone, though I have no confidence that either will lose his job.

At what point do the clueless Wilpons wake up and realize the organization they built is the laughing stock of baseball? Between Omar, Bernazard and Manuel, you have the three stooges running the asylum. Even without all the injuries, this was a mediocre team with no heart, no hustle, and stupid, lazy ballplayers. It's obvious this crew is in waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over their head, and no amount of money the Wilpons throw at the team will matter until they get the right people in there.

And New Yorkers thought the Dolan - Isiah Thomas combination was bad. Jeff Wilpon is starting to make Clueless Jim Dolan look good, and that's saying something.

If only the players on the field had some fight in them.

Sell the team, Wilpon! You don't want to own a team. Cash in and get out.

Here is the exact email I sent to the Mets this morning, and I stand behind it 100%:

To Whom It May Concern:

This morning, the first thing I did when coming into my office was to change all of my email subscriptions to New York Mets Marketing Emails. I did not do this because of the poor play on the field, I have been a fan for years through good times and bad. I did this due to the embarrassment I feel over the continued antics of one Tony Bernazard. Since I am only one person, I feel that this will not make much of a difference, but I will not attend another game at Citi Field, purchase another piece of team-related merchandise or support an SNY advertiser until Mr. Bernazard is removed. I would never say that I will no longer be a fan of the New York Mets - that would be difficult. I will however state that I will no longer pour any money into the New York Mets Organization - that is easy.

Thank you very much for your time.

Yours truly,
Joe S*********

Bernazard seems to have done more harm than good. I'm not sure why it's worth it to keep him around.

. Willie was a paranoid incompetant as the mgr of the New York Mets. Just because Omar and all the other problems the Mets are having doesn't make Willie anymore more than what he was. I don't see any teams making offers to him to be there mgr, do you?

Minaya wants to save Bernazard for now---he needs someone to throw under the bus AFTER the season ends to keep his GM job!

They both should go!!
