Scully to broadcast in 2010, then decide future

Vin Scully said Tuesday he will continue in the broadcast booth for the Los Angeles Dodgers through the 2010 season, then decide whether he will walk away.

Mr. Scully can truly be called an icon. The way he paints the picture of a game on radio is beyond words. Whether the Dodgers are ahead or behind of an 11-0 game he is the same. Not a homer in any way like so many other announcers are. Like so many others he is the only Dodgers lead announcer I've known my entire life. One day, hopefully far in the future, when he retires a great era in broadcasting will pass with him.

Working with the Los Angeles Dodgers, I had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Scully. He is a very cool and kine guy, he will be missed with the Dodger family. But all and all the best to him.

I have listened to Vin Scully since I was a little girl...my fondest memories are listening to Vin Scully with my Grandfather backin the days when they listened to the game on a transitor radio way back then....Vin we love you and you are the voice of the Dodgers always and forever.....no one else can do what you have done...your the best.....
