What will happen if they had Bulgarian passports can you imagine?

"Are the human and civil rights respected in Macedonia? If one had to judge with the case of Trenkovski and Vesna Ognenovska who was brutally arrested by 20 policemen and sentenced 15 days detention because they are Bulgarian citizens. The Bulgarian delegation in the S&D group decided today to send an open letter to Commissioner on enlargement Olli Rehn, and ask for a EU involvement in this issue."

Yeah, poor Bulgars. And what about the English guy sentenced to 15 years for assault in Sofia even though he wasn't in the bar when the fight took place and after some other guy admited to the offence. And the tourists arrested in Greece at the airport for taking photographs, you must remember, those BRITISH tourists. The ones imprisoned for quite a while before being deported without charge.

And lest we forget the multitude of EU and UN reports critical of human rights in Greece. In Britain we have a saying that "people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones". It's similar to the biblical saying "let he who is without doubt cast the first stone".

Try to avoid being critical of others actions when there are problems enough at home.

Why would the EU care what happens in a non-EU state? I mean, they don't care what happens in EU states, so they're hardly going to bother about what happens in a non-EU one!

What all these have to do with "human rights"???
huh??
Everybody nowadays recalls this poem of "Human Rights"
in each and every chance.
In Greece we have a saying too :
"Big words from little people."
Lets see what is "Informed Reader" talking about:
""UK tourists detained in Greece"""
The arrests came after an air show
By Paul Wood BBC in Athens
Twelve British citizens have been arrested in Greece and may face charges of spying.
The twelve, eleven men and one woman, are being held in a jail in Kalamata, in the southern Peloponnese.
They are due to appear in court on Monday.
British diplomats in Athens are puzzled and, in the words of one source, deeply baffled as to the exact circumstances behind their detention.
They were arrested on Thursday, near the air base at Kalamata, where there had just been an air show.
'Film seized'
The original charge was taking photographs in
>>a restricted area<<, although British officials are concerned that this has now been hardened to a charge of spying.
The group have told diplomats they didn't have cameras, only binoculars.
But Greek sources say that film has been seized, showing pictures of aircraft.
The 12 are being held in the local jail attached to the police station in Kalamata, where conditions are said to be good.
Their lawyer has reportedly expressed confidence that the whole affair will turn out to be a misunderstanding - plane-spotting gone wrong, and not a major spying scandal."
So much with the "Informed Reader",,, the epitome of misinformation and.... "huuuuman rights"
I wonder, Brits dont know how to read "NO TAKING PHOTOGRAPHS" signs scattered all over restricted areas at military airfields such as this they were arrested at???.
